Its not all about straight line racing. Anyone can drive a car straight... The Evo and STi are going to handle a lot better than the neon. And personaly, I'd much rather be seen in an STi than a girly neon.

i'm not sure about the 787b maybe you are right but what i know is that in WRC the french dominate and in F1 the fight is between ferrari, mercedes and bmw.

another example is super cars: enzo, mclaren etc. now show me the japanese cars that will murder those.

again point the japanese make great cars but stop BSing about killing american and european cars.

also look at the comparison you are making the evo and sti are in diffrent class. of course they are better but they cost 10k and 12k more.

look at my thread nobody could bring a car that can compete at 20k with the neon for the price.

so fine take the sti - you know what i'll take it too over the neon but are you going to give me the extra 12k???

oh.. and BTW show me where i said that only straight line matters?

In the list below, I'd choose the Subaru. Otherwhise, if you can afford, nothing worth a BMW M3 or an Alfa GTA, even if it's more comfortable.

the point is that outof the box both sti and evo will murder the srt4 but...they also cost 10-12k more


theoretically with that money you could improve the srt4 a lot....quaife makes a quiafe lsd for example

I dont think she directed that exactly tuwards you Neutrino. But all your statments about the SRT is mainly only about stright line. And even if you put a LSD on the SRT i doubt it will still be able to keep up. For bang 4 the buck purposes the SRT is good. But at what sacrafice. Its butt ugly (a wanabe WRX even) its small compared to the other 2. I'm sure rideing in a cramp SRT over an STI will make you feel good... It's a dinky attemp to sell a car to a market thats comeing back. Yes it might be quick, but its stuped quick. Its a gimmick if you ask me, Lets squeez every bit of juice outa this motor and stick it in a dinky car. Now we have something to race from stop light to stop light. WHOO HOO!!

An Evo will not outrun a Ferrari in a straight line, period. Where ever you got that, is crap. Maybe a modified Evo with a few thousand in engine mods. Go back two year ago to the Utimate Street Car Challenge and look at the lap times on the track. The Ferrari 360 beat the closest car by five seconds. Granted an Evo wasn't there, but plenty of other fast cars were. Ferrari technology comes via the road course tracks. Ferrari builds race cars first, and street cars to fund their race cars. I don't know why you even bother comparing an Evo or STi to a Ferrari anyways. I'd say they're in different price ranges. Those who see the Ferrari F355 or 360 Modena as touring cars are also mistaken. The grand touring cars for Ferrari are the 456 and 550. The 355 and 360 are low end exotics. They were built with the intent of going fast. Their suspension is not soft like a touring car, but tight and built to throw the weight evenly through the turns. You can tell by the car that I own that I love the Evo and pay homage to it, but don't be blinded by ignorance. The Evo and STi are great cars, but they are not Ferrari competitors in stock form. By the way, the Evo will pull around a 13.3 at sea level in the quarter mile. Also, in reference to whoever said that the Evo will outrun the new Cobra in a straight line, you are also wrong. I have personally seen a stock 03 Cobra put down 400 at the wheels. That is easily 450 at the crank, which means SVT is pulling our chains just like Dodge with the SRT-4. All of these cars are good at what they were built for, but keep the apples with the apples and the oranges with the oranges. I was looking for a twin disc clutch for my car and some how found this post, so I don't think I will be back to read any responces, so in conclusion, buy the Evo because it is a more solid car than the STi in the handling department. You'll feel more like a part of the car in the Evo. Good luck.

the SRT-4 Has a Quaife LSD, thats why it is so fast unlike us poor honda folks it can get the power to the pavement.
