Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

That conversion is spot on man! Love the color and wheel choice. BBS LM's just seem so right on a GTI. Reminds me a bit of the MKIV I built a while back.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

Nice job on the golf. I like the red with the gold wheels.
The van in the background looks awesome too.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

Here's a new picture I took a second a go.

It's with some Racinghart CR's:

Rear wheels look a bit strange, but the wheels are loose.

They are the ones I'd go with

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

A small update on this car.

I have painted the Windows rubbers and the rear lights:

I also wired and painted the engine:

(I couldn't get a sharp picture of the enginebay, so this is why I post such a tiny picture)

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

The BBS wheels are the definitive wheels.

Here's a night shot which i liked:

And some pictures on my usual photo spot:

I used tires from the Revell Civic kit.

Without a doubt, the BBS wheels. They just round out the euro style.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

For some readon i like the CRS better. I never really liked clear (altezza) style rear lights. You can really see the bmf, other than that it looks great. The engine is sweet.

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

Great job so far those racing hearts make it look to ricey, the BBS's are definitely better unless you wanted to do the OZ's with a color matched center. IMO i think you should smoke the tails like on the actual GTI's cuz sometimes the clear and red looks a little to ricey if you know what i mean i have a 1:1 GTI xcept its black. Also idk if u have ne polishing means cuz its a little peely idk. keep up the great progress!! woot for upper glove box, and great work on the engine!

Re: Golf 3 (Transfer 5 to 3 doors)

I wanted to make the rearlights like this:

I like these better than the standard GTi/VR6 ones.
