I don't mean to be a dick, but it sounds like none of you guys have actually driven a CL-S with a 6-speed. I was considering one before I got my Maxima, and I have to admit that it is just about as fast as my 3.5, and the tranny is a whole lot better. It doesn't pull quite as hard, but damn close, and it definitely pulls harder than any pre 2k2 Maxima.

Because the overal design was so well engineered that it still proves to make great power. 3 differnt engine types, designed at 3 different time intervals, all great designs.

Nissan did something similar with the R50 pathfinder with the VG33E for the exhaust manifold. Evidentally, poor design/materials allowed the exhaust manifold studs to break, causing an exhaust leak. They extended my warrenty to 100k miles also. The big difference is that I can drive with a cracked exhaust manifold stud, but when the cl tranny goes, it's not only undrivable, it's also dangerous.
