Re: Neon gets replaced
The 1st gen Durangos are junk, if they are better than 2nd Gen, the new 2nd Gen's should go directly from the dealer to the junk yard (so we can hi-jack the HEMI).

Re: Neon gets replaced
hey miguel I just got reading the recent edition of car and driver from what it said you might want to take a second look at your clunky two step shifter vauge steering and the abrupt clutch.quit working on yor air conditioned glove box crap that costs over 1000 grand extra
and work on that top speed when it red lines at 119 mph and the 0-60 mph then just leaving it at almost 10 sec. or get rid of the acaliber and make the neon again WHOS WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? This caliber is a waste of your companies money!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Neon gets replaced
The 1st Gen neons sold well b/c they were cheap and went fast. We overlooked a lot of the quality problems and concentrated on the part of the chassis that made a good hot rod (of sorts). The 2nd Gen lost momentum when they made it heavier and didn't offer enough power to move the thing like the 1st gens did, until the SRT. Now DCX drops what little of a sports car the neon was and gives us a underpowered overweight pig. We can't get 36-40MPG out of it and we can't get 0-60 in 7.6 secs out of it. We hate it. Tell DCX to get us a small lightweight car (2600lbs would be fine vs 3500 for the Caliber) and then put the "World Engine" in it. I don't want to buy an SRT just to get decent performance. I have a teenage driver and can not afford to insure a factory TurboCharged car. My '98 Neon R/T is fast (relatively), gets 32+ mpg and is cheap to insure. That is what we want.

Now get the heck out of the Neon forum and slowly accelerate your way to the Caliber forum where you'll be at home. I think I actually saw 2 people chillin' in there. But if you want to see just how unpopular your new car is compared to the replaced Neons... then look at the main page in this forum for my new poll, dedicated to you, Miguel, and all those other yes-men working in the DCX marketing and sales departments. |

Re: Neon gets replaced
Hello guys,
In regards to your comments/suggestions, I have to say, they are very honest. I would like to make a clarification: the vehicle cannot be sold strictly from marketing alone. Input from consumers is highly needed. We, at the Dodge Information Center, believe that feedback from Dodge owners, and vehicle enthusiasts alike, is the best way to optimize what should eventually transition in to the production phase. The higher the influx, the higher the possibility. Your comments comprise what is most important to us. I apologize if the message has appeared to be one of pure advertisement. This is not the intention. If anyone has any questions regarding the vehicle, I will definitely research any information pertaining the the all-new 2007 Dodge Caliber. Regards, Miguel M. |
