Re: Underaged jailbait

Skydiving =

Length of freefall is varied. If you get up to about 10000 feet, it will be close to 40 seconds.

-edit- seems MUCH longer though.

I can't see the sense in jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Its hard enough to get me into one in the first place, usually takes a couple of shots first, then a few cocktails on the plane. And as for shooting, I love to go, just don't have much time. Still doesn't hurt to clean the gun on a regular basis.

just wait until you can see individual blades of grass.

I think if I jumped out of a plane, my first thought would be "OH SHIT IM FALLING!"

We go to 13,500 ft., so you get about a minute of freefall and then a 5-6 minute ride under canopy. But, if you get certified and do it recreationally, with enough jumps you can buy a wingsuit and fly for a lot longer. I've heard of guys flying for about 20 minutes and longer before pulling their ripcord. There are so many different ways to skydive, there is no set "time" to be in freefall or under canopy.

Re: Underaged jailbait

oooooooh................sweet. my physics teacher was telling me about how some people skydive from such a height, that they're almost in space or something, where its dark all around you, or something like that. i dunno. im not sure where the closest skydiving place is to me, i live in london. but i'll sure try it sometime.

Re: Underaged jailbait

it seems to me that falling from that height would be too much pressure on your ears. Kinda like returning to the surface too fast is bad for your lungs and ears when scuba diving.

but then again, I don't know anything about that. Just kinda asking.

Re: Re: Underaged jailbait

I don't know. I know that for the world record formation, which is 357 people, they had a lot of planes and they went up to about 24,000-25,000 ft. to give the people time to get into formation. At about 15,000 ft. I think some people start to need oxygen. I've never heard of people doing that, but maybe I haven't been working there long enough to know.

I was actually watching something on National Geographic Channel yesterday about humans achieving the unthinkable or something like that. Col. Joseph Kittinger jumped from 102,800 ft. (all dark around him) and traveled at the speed of sound. Read
