APPLESEED!!! YOU ARE THE BOMB!!! I cannot believe what you have done with this. I just picked up a Fujimi S13 model. Please email me at [email protected] and give me tips on how you did the body kit in a little more detail. SHOTS OUT TO YOU!!!!

Re: S13
I went to a drifting event last weekend with some of my buddies and thought... wow... those cars are cool
Then I realized that I had a kit halfway done. I pulled it out and looked at it...![]() hmm... looks pretty good ![]() whaaaa... whaaaa... whappened??? The paint was on and polished when it went in the box but yet I don't know how the heck the body got warped I don't think I can fix that warped side as it looks pretty far bent in. Oh well. Anyway, I think I'll build this one anyway faults and all. I like the color. Not that you can tell but its Gunze white with a bit of Gunze yellow. I sprayed a healthy coat of interference green on top of that before the final clear coat. Looks pretty darn cool in the sun but not so hot under my desk lamp. Maybe it won't look so bad once its done. a. |

Re: S13
Would you be able to VERRY carefully heat it up and pull that side back out? It's really too bad it warped on you. This was (and I'm sure still will be) a varry nice build. Hope it works out for ya man. I look forward to more!

Re: S13
Hey i remember this build! Its heart breaking to see it warped that way.really unusual since its a Tamiya kit if it was AMT or Revell i wouldnt be so surprised. Id really love to see this done...

Re: S13
I wonder if you could just fit the interior in there, and then glue it to the chassis to keep it spread apart?

Re: S13
that looks stunning! i think when you get to put the chassis on, then the side will take it shape without heating it up. goodluck

Re: S13
yeah, it looks like that wouldnt be that hard of a fix, as the chassis would mostlikley put it back in place, as teamanilla said... oh... plz post more pics of the mkii supra as well! but i have some pics of one with a modified rear bumper, its my friends mkii w/ ebruni body kit... (sorry about the size... :S)

Re: S13
Thanks for the suggestions. I think these photos will give you a better idea of what I have to work with. I carefully pushed in the chassis and it pushed out the body but look at the roofline... it looks like someone sat on the car. The door area is significantly bowed and the top of the door area is sunk in and no longer horizontal. With the body on, there is significant stress on the A pillars and such. I'll try to fit in the window and see if there's any hope of that pushing the roof level again but I doubt that it would help.
Still going to build it as it is but the results, I'm afraid, is going to be far less then what I had hoped for... Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!! ![]() ![]() ![]() a. |
