Last update, interior allmost done, still need to put steering wheel, attach seatbelts to cage, paint few things and slightly reposition front beams of roll cage. Body still needs some work but nothing seriouse.

Very nice, I like the interior details. Don't forget to remove the mould lines from the tyres or drill out the holes in the panel at the top of the rear side windows.

Re: Progress: Skoda Fabia WRC from REJI

Thanks guys
M4tt83 the tyres were disaster, full of flash, I have to redo them a bit but this mold line is so deep that I won't be able to remove it completly. As for the side window vents they are not holes but only a thin ring on the outer part of the hole is vent (but this would be very hard to replicate as it should be.

Re: Progress: Skoda Fabia WRC from REJI

What did you use for the ties that keep the wire on the rollcage?

Hi Matt, those are cooper wires from isolator painted in black (those thin ones from for example from speaker wire)

Re: Progress: Skoda Fabia WRC from REJI

Thanks a lot Sasa! Such a great idea, I had not thought about it. Did you paint them before attacking them or afterwards?

This is a top quality build, the detail is amazing. Great job.

This model is worth the paint troubles you went through, a true masterpiece!

I envy you!

Re: Progress: Skoda Fabia WRC from REJI

Thanks guys, I am red like crab now
Matt I took vire cleaned isolator and I had only bear wires left, separated them one from the others and just sprayed them with matt black. The problem is when you bend them the paint will peal a bit, but you can easily touch up that joint affterwards.

I did say no more updates but.... this will not be visiable affter assembly.
Steering wheel and dashboard now compleated (still considering slight blackwash on those red parts)

And those beautyfull switces, bolts and washers from scaleracecars

Oil coolers, additionaly detailed because they were two square pieces of resin

And all together
