It's lowered about 2 inches, since I'm only 5'7 and 125 pounds. And the bike is really heavy! But I love it. It's a great starter bike until I can move up to this!

Great bike, I almost bought that exact one. But the weight of the bike kinda discouraged me, over 500lbs, although I'm 5' 11" and didn't need for it to be lowered.

Personally, I feel my 460lbs (wet) Yamaha to be on the heavy side, especially for a beginner. Although my Dad and I are Suzuki fans, but the overall girth of Katana had me looking for something even more powerful, like F2/F3, since they were lithe and weighed less in comparison. Anyway take your time with it and learn gradually, as I am doing. Good Luck!
