here wait lemme think of something alright , I got it Toksin, If your future plan at one stage is to swap the automatic transmission, what manual transmission are you looking to put in? (eg 6speed, 5speed, etc, of what car)

pretty sure he said SR20 with 5-speed, probably an S13 red or black-top, both of which were 5-speed and not 6.
S15 was the only SR20 with 6-speed and the 5-speeds have actually proven to be stronger so i don't see why he'd go with that. also if he went RB25, it's a 5-er too if i'm not mistaken.

Will not be S13 SR20, parts are harder to get. Will be S14 with the matching 5 speed, or an R33 GTS25t 5 speed (with a bit of cutting, bellhousing swapping and swearing, it can be done!).
Got quoted $2500 for an S14 SR20DET and box, and that's the cheapest so far. Gonna be a few years... S15 6 speed would be far too expensive, and is not as strong. Right now I'm going to try get a CA18DET 5 speed and drop it in, just so I can actually enjoy driving the car more. The NA is fine, and insurance isn't much of a hassle this way. I won't both turboing it, if I was going to use a turbo CA18 I'd just buy a CA18DET, there's enough of them around here to get one at a good price. Chris: 23, and engaged

...Now I'm getting off topic! gonna do anything with the body besides the front end? you mentioned a ducktail wing once....

If I can find a nice ducktail wing then yes, otherwise no wing, or a Type X wing. As for the rest of the kit, I'd like to get a URAS Monkey Magic/HippoSleek combination, or a Workshop X (local workshop) Project D kit. Undecided as yet.
But it's going to stay black

FFS, Dave. didn't i teach you ANYthing?
it is NOT a Type-X wing. every single model of the Kouki 180SX came with the same wing as an option. there were 4 models: -Type-G (base model. SR20DE, auto.) -Type-S (SR20DE, auto, more options and full aero) -Type-R (SR20DET, 5-speed, no options. stripped out racer's model) -Type-X (SR20DET, 5-speed, loaded, full aero) every car had the SAME tail-lights, SAME front bumper, and SAME wing (if you ordered one), so therefore calling any of them "Type-X" pieces is redundant. /rant. with that said, get a Kouki 180SX front. leave the bumper stock, with Vertex or URAS sides and rear, in black, with no wing, or possibly a Kouki wing if you must have one.
