Get better putty. I have said it once, and I will continue to say it until it gets through your thick skull. It looks hideous right now...the putty just looks so bad.

Once you get some new putty, I cant wait to see your other projects. Quit taking the cheap way out, models arent cheap.

Whats wrong with the putty? I'm not trying to question you or anything I'm just curious. What kind would you recommend?

Re: ~*~*~Project Custom Civic~*~*~

I know I sound pretty neurotic and anal about it, but its annoying problem I have.

I am tired of seeing the wrong putties being used the wrong way. I am a bit of a control freak so dont take any of it personally. Spot putty is made for filling teeny tiny holes in fillers, not for use as a filler.

Like I stated above, spot and glazing putties are one part and dry by evaporization. Spot/Glazing putties are for just that, filling tiny holes in filler, and glazing rough spots. Not for big jobs. Since it does not dry chemically the putty will shrink and continue to dry for years, thus cracking paint later on and what not.

I reccomend most two part putties, such as: Tamiya Epoxy Putties, Evercoat Eurosoft, and Milliput.

Well, I totally agree with what you have said. personally, I make do with what I have, I cant afford to drive all over hells half acre to buy fancy pants putties. I bought a tube of that normal tamiya putty (the toothpast kind, in a small tube and it ran me up $11.00 Canadian. And thats the only putty the LHS sells. So, I tend to make do with what I can find and afford, and like you said, I dont have a credit card, so ordering things off the net isnt a very good option, and when I do, I order from a Canadian Distributer because its so much cheaper for me, and he doesnt carry putty.
