Re: who would you not wanna get into a street race with

I believe that is Sandra from the MR2 Board. Lanchean posted a link to this thread over there ... so we may have a few MR2ers popping over to harrass.

We're harmless though

... and .28 is plenty, that's a good 3-4 car lengths.

And of course, you have to dis the MR2 -- what else can you do when a much cheaper, less powerful, significantly older used car is much faster than you?

Seriously it would be anyone's race and it would be interesting to see the results. Where are you located razor?
I'm game for a challenge ... besides, it would be nice to havea video of Hyde beating a Skyline

New Zealand.

There are a couple of MR2's here in the low mid 12's and one that runs simular times as yourself. I don't really street race either as I prefer to take it to the track though the odd time has arisen in the past where I've endulged in less than legal speeds.

I've not purchased my car to be a race car by any stretch, but more fo what it is. The only things I've done to the car since I've owned it is a new front mount and chipped ecu. So considering that, I've spent a total of around $500 USD on my car outside the purchase and general maintinace such as clutch, brake rotors, pads, oil changes, hoses, coil packs, etc.
However in saying that over the next year or two I wil be giving the motor a good massage as honestly it is beginning to bore me. There are plenty of GTR's here that are in the 11's some in the 10's, and two in the mid 8's not to mention a host of them over the 600hp mark. So in the bigger scheme of things mine is very standard but damn reliable
It's also driven daily as it is the only car I own in New Zealand.

BTW what is your best 60' time Jykle both on drag tyres and normal road tyres? I've managed a 1.66 on 235x40x17 Federal 696's on good track conditions but have yet to run on a good track since the last tune.

As far as an influx of MR2 owners they are welcome to the boards as long as they abide by the guidelines ( link in my signature ). So far it's been nothing more than jokes and smiles. However in saying that if it turns ugly or someone gets their nose out of joint and decides to take this personal it will be ended quickly. So lets not go that far shall we

i'm well aware.
however, if you take a look into the situation, liquid89 is the same as civicchickracer, and fast woman, and grand am93.
so he's played a woman before.

no offense to you...

Re: who would you not wanna get into a street race with

You can check out some pics of my car in this thread. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=227380&page=3

Also the only vid I have of my car going down the strip is before I had the front mount done. The car only had exhaust, pods, and the ProfecB installed. I missed third gear but gives you an idea how fast it comes out of the hole. You'll need the latest divx installed to view it. http://blacklinux.com/hosted/razorgt...o/RazorGTR.avi

Re: who would you not wanna get into a street race with

Sandra's cool ..and she is female, so the "big balls" comment is really, really lost on her
Sandra, they have an MR2 forum on this board as well.

RazorGTR, I think you and I are on the same page with racing.
You forgot to mention how much you paid for the car though?

I paid $1750 for Hyde ... but I have over $13K in mods.
MY best 60' on drag radials is a 1.685.
I am consistently getting 1.7s now.
I haven't touched street tires in forever at the track.

Re: who would you not wanna get into a street race with

again, i'm not too worried about it...
i don't know why the big balls comment is lost though, as it's a figurative thing... but...

you paid 1750 for that car?
and it was that anally taken care of? wow...

$14,000 USD but in saying that, that was a few years ago as they've dropped marginally in price here. I can pick one up now for about $10,500 USD.

Gee if I spent that much in mods, which is about what I'm looking at I'd be making enough to put me into the mid 10's easy.
