WTF?? you obviously didnt order that list cause if your machanic would have seen that he would have/should have slapped you!!! and what the hell are you talking about? "6 bolt to 3" if you talking about the SBR stage 3 Block, that is a 6 bolt buddy... sorry to say you do not deserve to own a DSM until you search more about them!!!

to the kid with 2 much money

"Wow, i'm soo glad my post got turned into something about somebody buying condoms, yeah, that's wonderful. Anyways, i'm gonna do the cam stuff this week, and i ordered the stuff that joe posted at the top for the Full horsepower thing. I'm gonna be the fastest car around, and those R/T 10's had better watch out when i get done. Damn, i can already feel the g's now. PPPPPPPHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW......the re i go, passin' ere'body."

Ur so sad. I'm only 15 so i cant drive but I do own a go-kart which i race every weekend. I bet my when im raacin i push more g's then u ever have in ur car. And unless ur car is runnin under 6 seconds 0-60 i can probably beat that too. I mat only be fifteen but i probably know more in general knowledge in cars than u. It sux cuz ur gettin my dream car and the money to tune it and money is not an object. I do however support your decision to get an Eclipse and not a Lawnmower with 4 doors (aka Honda) good luck~!

No need to insult, I just don't know if I believe you just ordered $8 grand in parts, and I definately don't think a mechanic would charge any less than $5 grand to replace everything in the engine bay.

If you want to be serious, let me see a picture of your current setup and/or parts you just ordered so I'm not wasting my time.

i still think you belong in a honda group, not a dsm group. dsm guys are proud of what our cars are because we work hard for what we have under the hood and install it ourselfs. honda owners are just ricing posers who have to much bloody $ and have us dsmers put your stuff in. go buy an emblem and put it on your back window, like we dont know what you already drive.. i still like you though..

Re: 97 gsx w/16g vs. honda s2000 with intake, headers, exhaust

Damn, all i did was come in here and ask for some help, and all you did was mess with me. I think it may be time for me to find a new DSM site, one were the people on it are a little nicer. And for the record, i haven't had the parts installed yet wagon, my car is in the shop and will remain there for a long time probably. You think just because that i have a little more money than some people that you can treat me like a shithead and that's not cool. And for the RST guy, dude, don't cut people down when you don't know what "you" are talking about. I wasn't referring to the SBR block, i was simply saying something that my friend and i joke about constantly(nothing even to do with any car i own), and i didn't think you would take such great offense to it. And for the go-kart kid, shut up before i crush you with my wallet. SNAP!

Maybe i should just keep drivin' my audi tt quattro instead of fooling with a crowd that's pissed off all the time.

Seriously, go in order on a mod list and do some research. If you do everything someone tells you, you'll be unhappy and unexperienced.

The statement above was written right before he gave you that list of mods. You obviously had didn't read the top part before you start saying that you have got all of these parts. IT'S YOUR CAR. DO WHAT YOU WANT.

And don't forget it.

There is no reason to be mad or get angry. I just think the ppl here are more experience and are offering you advice. I think you should get to know your car a little better before you wanna just buy stuff and put it in. Once you start drivin then you can mod it slowly.

Plus its kinda weird that someone wants to put all this stuff in thier car, but really has no clue what they are and what they do ( no offense, im really new to this stuff too, dont know s***). Anyways i just think you should take it step by step, and this is a perfect place to stick around and learn more about dsms. People here really do help, they just get kinda pissed off when someone just wants to throw a whole bunch of s*** in their car and have no clue what their doing (Again please dont take it personally).

Good Luck, and hopefully you'll stay!

You said you have a 16g etc... and you must have driven your car when you raced the guy. Why would you bring your car back to the shop if the 'new parts' aren't even there yet?

If you aren't lying about having the money you throw away, then it makes you plain stupid. Good day.

Re: 97 gsx w/16g vs. honda s2000 with intake, headers, exhaust

perhaps a good start would be to re-introduce yourself and make a mod list. SImply start with "hello guys, my name is... I have a... I have installed... and am looking to install... my goals are... money is no object to me... I love my car and want it to be fast." then, for those of us who are seething with jealously about your abundant cashflow you can post pics and links to the parts you have/will buy. there is nothing wrong with wanting to fix up your dsm. it is great that you have one. and you are more than welcomed to stay and learn and ask questions. just simply understand that you are flashing and flaunting and galavanting yourself around like a rich little bitch and it's pissing people off. thats why you're getting the rough vibe. we aren't mean people... just poor people.

So.. in short, list the things you have done to your car (16g, afc, this and that) and the things you plan on adding. such as your stage 3 6 bolt and so forth. We weren't aware of the inside joke about the 3 bolt block.. that is why we smashed you. I am glad that you have unlimited funds. I wish I did. Please don't get pissy and hate the people on here for their comments. we're simply asking you to think and learn a little more before you just start throwing things on your car cause we tell you to.

BTW, since you love spending money, would you like to come to the shop here?? We'd be glad to work on your car for countless hours and have you spend bazillions of dollars!! I doubt your mechanic would like it though haha. he's lovin you right now! Post up some pics or the audi and your dsm on cardomain to help with the non believers. good luck with your project.

oh, if you find that you just can't figure out what else you want to buy, PM me and I"ll give you my address and a list of parts to send to it!! WOOHOO!

Re: 97 gsx w/16g vs. honda s2000 with intake, headers, exhaust

Where's a good place to post pictures? I didn't mean to sound like i was flaunting, but i didn't know how else to tell you what i had. JoeWagon is just plain mean, i mean sure i raced that weekend with the new stuff, and then i took my car back cause after all it's not my only mode of transportation. Didn't mean to offend anyone, but i just felt offended. Import2nr, thanks for understanding, and though i am new to this, i wanna have the car that everybody crowds around and is like, damn, that guy's got a kick ass car, then i want to back up statements about it for real like ie: Yeah i can stomp a vette, or an ss camaro, or "yeah, i can whoop a saleen easy." I may sound kinda conceited, but that's just how i was raised. I go to a private school with little bitch ass kids, and i make good grades, but i'm bored as shit constantly, so my dad built a garage, and i started to mess with cars. This is my first, so i wanna see somebody else do the work first. I'm going about doing the work myself slow, cause i don't wanna learn anything the wrong way. I go and watch my mechanic (brad) and he shows me what to do, and how to install parts and what they are for. Maybe soon, i will learn to be a "true" dsm-er like everyone talks about. Sorry that i watch F&F, but that's the only way i ever heard of street racing. Only then did i realize that hey, there's people like that around here. I just kinda figure that if i show up with a car that is pretty sweet, that i'll get some respect, maybe i'm wrong but i don't know any better.

Re: 97 gsx w/16g vs. honda s2000 with intake, headers, exhaust

jeez joe, you had to go and give the rich kid a map to 600hp, now didn't ya? and now everyone is making fun of him cuz he got the walllet to back it up [or so he says]...

LMAO...

to the kid with the audi tt quatro and the gsx with all that stuff:

don't worry about what everyone thinks about your new gsx. it will be broken most of the time anyway because you will not know how to drive a 400+hp DSM on the street. i see many shattered differentials and drivetrain problems for you.

this is not an 'out of the box' fast car like a TT or whatever you have. it is built up, and when you start building up, things will enevitably break down. you have to have the knowledge to recognize a problem and/or prevent it.

and watch TF&F again. if you remember correctly your poster boy BLEW up his car. i have lots of street racing experience in LA and tons of freeway racing experience [but strangly enough no track experience... LOL]. i have seen guy's blow hoods off and crash into bushes and trees, blow tires at 115 mph, flip and roll across the freeway [myself included *don't suck N2O in moving cars*], racers crash into cars that were crossing stop signs that should have been covered and kill thier GF's and other people, guy's just plain lose control. the craziest i ever saw was a guy that hooked up a gas mask to give him a hit of N2O as he hit the button. he was in a busted ass CRX. on his 3rd race he passed out and took out 30 feet of brick wall from the corner forward, like hitting the corner of an 'L' and traveling the length up to the top. he lost an arm and 2 legs [i only heard that, i was sure nobody would live after that]. and when things like this happen everyone leaves quickly.

i don't think you have the slightest idea of what you are getting yourself into. if you pull up to some local underground street racing with a newly modded out GSX you are going to get some fake respect, then later on you are going to get jacked. you might get your ride back, but all the work that went into it will be running on someone else's ride. roll up in your TT and try to meet some people. never try to demand respect, earn it.

the same goes for in here to. most of us have put a lot of time into search engines [to start!] finding stuff out for ourselves and building our own general knowledge of the DSM world. most of us also do our own work, or as much as we can do ourselves. we carry a certain amount of pride in our community and it is semi tight-nit in these pages. unfortunatly for you it is not impressive to us that you can wallet wedge into our community. and "that's just how i was raised" is a poor excuse for life. but hey, you are on the right track to get to that point, it's just that most people don't get there as fast as you do.

have fun, be young, and for chrissake, don't suck N2O in a moving vehicle
