FormulaLT1, switch to decaf man. So, what does your car run at the track? Maybe high 14's is a little high, but a stock auto isn't very fast either. the only reason i myself am thinking high 14's is because my cousin has raced a couple trans ams that were LT1 powered.. Plus not to get into a magazine war, but in the 97 issue of road and track they have a ws6 trans am running 14.4 stock.. i guess what ppl run at the track is what matters. No one has told me the difference in motors with the Trans am and formula.. the formula has 275 and the trans am has 305? what the difference in motors? RAM AIR? cause we all know that doesn't do crap.

Look I really don't care what you think and no matter what I run you know my car better than me so lets just agree that I don't care about your opinion and you don't care about mine and for everyone else Auto LT1 with 4l60E is every bit as fast as the 6 speed but I have had that discussion in this forum before anyway , Also the Formula and Trans Am had exactly the same LT1 with the same rating so you must know something I don't. Well, what do you run? You were talking as if you have spent a lot of time at the track so i wanna know what your car runs.. If you tell us what you run with your Formula then we all have an idea.. I dunno the difference in the LT1.. all i know is that the ram aired ws6 trans am is rated at 305 at the fly wheels, and the formula and Z28 have 275-285 depending on yrs..

Trans Am's , Formula's , Z28's all where rated at 275 Horsepower from 93 - 95 , 285 Horsepower from 96 - 97 due to a exhaust change, while 96 -97 WS6's option(came in both Formula & Trans AM), Firehawk (came in both Formula & Trans Am) and Z28 SS's where rated at 305 Horsepower do to intake and exhaust mod's , as well they all had suspension mods. My car was equiped with Hooker Long tubes and Borla Catbacks when I bought it. since then I have had 3.73's put in the rear, Transgo shift kit and corvette Servo installed, K&N CAI, TB bypass , IAT relocator, Accel 300 ignition, LT4 KM, Airfoil ,1LE elbow , descreened the MAF and LT1_edit tuning and other small things I'm sure I'm forgetting anyway my best run to date at Englishtown NJ was 12.896 1/4 at 109.21 MPH with Slicks so I must be full of Sh*t right?

well hey, nice mods and thats a respectable time.. nice car.. Did you run it or dyno it stock? i went to lt1 tech and a couple guys posted 251 at the wheels stock, which is pretty good considering its rated at 275 at the flywheel.http://pub35.ezboard.com/fmissourifb...icID=152.topic However, the mach 1 dynos 283 at the wheels all day.. I still think the Mach 1 will domminate..

I havn't had her dynoed with all the current mods but going by the MPH I should be around 375- 390 at the flywheel and almost all 6 speed's dyno around 250 -255 stock and autos dyno around 15 or so less stock

i dunno, maybe stock they are very restrictive cause the ones i seen were kinda slow.. Once, i raced this trans am with my old z24, which ran 15.3, and off the line i had him up to 40, then he started walking.. i just expected more from a trans am.. i felt he should had just creamed me the whole race..

Most Auto's came with 2.73's from the factory which is a really crappy gear for off the line but great for highway racing

yea geez 2:73's really bight.. i bet gears alone do a ton for acceleration.. i love my 4:10's.. plus they don't rob my top speed much either.. 150 is cake..

Most find almost a half a second from gears alone after all 273's to 3.73's is a jump
