Re: S2000 Mod **Progress**

Update:
I did the panel Line for front bumper.. rear is just too hard, and since Hiroboy didn't make them on his wonderfull Celica, I say no way

The body was primered for the first time today.. will take picture later. (will leave it drying in the microwave for a while) For what I can see, there is not much imperfection on the putty work

Re: S2000 Mod **Progress**

paint is done (I usually don't wait very long with Tamiya Primer)

It's Bright Red.. I will post pic once it's fully dry (currently in microwave again)

Panel line looks really good. Bright Red sounds really good. I cannot wait to see this car.

BTW how long did you wait to paint after priming?

I'm not by the book
I go with my personal experience

Tamiya White primer usualy dry in 20 minutes so

First Coat of primer
wait 30 minutes
Second Coat of primer
wait 30 minutes
Last coat of primer
wait 6 hours
sanding a bit with 1500grin
First coat of paint
wait 20 minutes
Second coat of paint (Wet coat for this one)
leave it in the microwave for the next 24 hours

So all in all less than 8 hours for primer and paint. got good result with that. This morning it was the primer then this evening it was paint.

but this is only with tamiya primer and paint.. if i use something other, then I will wait longer (testor, even if i don't use this anymore, could need over 12 days for the damn primer to dry, and over 24h for the paint)

for what I can see on the microwave, this one will not need much polishing to get good result (polishing I wait at least 5 days)
