!!!UPDATE!!!

March 11th everyone! it's the day i'm taking my car down to get it fixed.

some of you know what happened, but i'm getting everythign done, and even fixing the 4ft long key scratch on the side. got a great deal. unfortunatly, my paint is a 3 stage so it costs more. first coat is blue green and purple next is the white pearl then clear. never knew my paint was so cool.

but mar. 11 is the date and soon as i get it back... my rims are leaving my bedroom and will be rolling under my car!

by the way... its amazingly only $1200. it would have been $1200 NOT including the key scratch which is the biggest increase. before i asked how much for the front it was $550 and the key mark pushed it up to $1200 but i gotta get it fixed. so ugly.

*Warning one pic is 255kb*

Why not just do it yourself? Or prep everything yourself to save money? My car was hit in a parking lot and my deductable was 500 and I fixed my car for 300 If I had gone to a shop it would have been easily over a grand.

Initial Hit

In the works

Just about done(notice matching color nozzles, shaved emblem, no windshield banner, no grill)<also the reason why the clears are on because a month ago a day before I went back to college my dad backed up into my car and ONLY hit my corners[thank god for being so low:alien: ], and those clears don't fit in properly>

Reason why I say just about done is because I never fully finished polishing/sanding out my hood and bumper

Also if the just about done picture doesn't show just let me know...

Fuggi- Nice ride and can't wait to see it done...and I am only 18, and I paid for my car (and insurance)and everything on it . But I know how you felt because I hadn't even had my car that long when thi occurred.

Oh yeah the beam where the hood latch is was also bent and we pulled that out too...it was just all exterior pieces...

well i'm not doing it myself for a few reasons. i'd rather have it done professionally and done right. its going on a frame machine to fix my radiator support. if i do it myself, it will take too much time. not to mention i'm not exactly handy with the body-work portion anyway. and really i'd rather not wait any longer. its gonna take like 2-3 days. and its a friend of my moms so he didnt fuck around with shit and he gave me a LOT of discounts!

i like the matching nozzles. i wanna do that. but i think i'm gonne get the rice light nozzles but not connect the LED because they spray really nice.

i just turned 17 and i've had to pay every step of the way. and it hasnt been easy to afford shit. sucks actually.

Yeah I know what you mean. I had actually never painted a car before, I Know my dad had back in the day, but never did it a lot though. We just went to a paint shop(luckly the guy gave us a step by step turorial<my dad even wrote it all down too> on how to paint a car correctly)
Also my Radiator support wasn't messed up, so now I can see why your going to a shop, and thats good that your moms bf is gonna help you out a lot.
Also when painting the nozzles it wasnt easy at all. Because you have to use a tooth pic to cover the holes, and then sanding them is a pain while there on the car because then you sand the hood too.
Thats good that you pay for everything on your car, because think if your parents did and then once they say were not paying for your car you go broke and can't manage your money correctly because your not use to paying for all the bills!
Once again nice ride, I LOVE THAT RS lip!!!

UPDATE!

work began this morning on my car. everything is going smoothly except there was a dent in my new hood (repaired) and my radiator support WAS NOT WELDED to my front end. baha! well whatever. they're fixing it all and i am happy.

my coilovers came today, and my rims are eager to leave my bedroom. just waiting for my new headlights.

That's so cool. I know how excited you must be.
That's kind of funny how your accident happend though. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Except for I got rear-ended by my best friend (her brakes went out) and I got pushed into another guy I knew in front of me. Oh well, at least everything is getting fixed.

I'm happy for you. Congrats on getting your car back to normal finally.

Good for you Bro!! Glad to hear your ride is going to be fixed......I've been driving around my civic with the whole right side dented scratched and missing moldings for over a year...and at times it is embarrassing...but i'm finally going to get it fixed. I know the feeling and i'm glad it all worked out for you.

UPDATE!

well i got my car back today after school.
it's fixed. but a few things that pissed me off.

1st the paint is very new, and it is very pearly compared to the rest. not too much matching with rest of car.
2nd they got paint on my tire
3rd they got paint on the center black piece in the bumper.
4th there's a scratch on the base of my spoiler
5th they broke my ebrake handle. (fixed by tighening allen screw, but still)
6th they did not connect my turn signals.
7th my bumper has a wierd sort of bump to it in one spot and looks SHITTY.

overall, i'm a fucking obsessive compulsive perfectionist. and if it's not 100% perfect i hate it.

monday= coilovers, rims, angel eyes, exhaust rattle fixing.
