For those of you looking for the Dino 246 chairs and flares wheels, you can get information about them from Ioan at [email protected]

I will have a extra set at Ferrari Expo for you all to look at, along with my 1/24th Dino 246 Lemans 1972 model. I also just finished my Cobra 289 Phill Hill 1964 Targa Florio model built from the very old Modelers 1/24th kit. We should have a truck load of good models in the contest this year.

Re: Ferrari Expo-Strictly 43rd Revival 2010

Hi Tommy!
I will go from Mexico City, happy to participate at Ferrari Expo.
Since buying my tickets months ago and I prepared my best models to enjoy a great weekend in Chicago.
I would like to make a suggestion if itīs possible.
Could you separate the categories of 1 / 20 from 1 / 24? I think that giving more life and variety to the event, more models of different sizes, especially F1, which I carry a F2001.
Thanks a lot and I hope we meet next saturday

last year, we had 2 F1 models, one of mine and one from another person, if there was a major influx of 1/20 kits that showed up every year, I'd believe there would be a separate category.

cant wait to see you all there, FYI, weather.com has made Saturday now T-storms with a 60% of rain, its looking like a very wet weekend and the next few days here in the Chicagoland area

I think we had 3 F1 in 1/20th scale last year. We had more F1 in 1/43rd, but if we do get a good amount of 1/20th models I will add another category. I know alot of great models are being made in 1/20th, so I hope we see alot more this year. Can't wait to see your model Charbel. We have some really great builders making the trip to this show now.

Re: Ferrari Expo-Strictly 43rd Revival 2010

Great! The more the merrier!

More categories sounds like a great idea! I also think that, if there are more classes, more people will be attracted to the show since the competitions grows, the classes are more even in terms of the detail the scale size allows and more people bring back home something!

As Charbel said, he is bringing one 1/20, I’m bringing one also and I think there is another coming from Mexico as well (wait to see that Revival)

See you tomorrow!

Great looking build. What I might do is add a 1/24th-1/20th F1 class next year. That would add 3 more awards.

I saw 8 real nice pre 1975 Ferrari's at Continental this morning along with lots of newer Ferrari's and Maserati's.

See you all tomorrow.

Hi - Looks like I can make it. Is there an admission fee for the event?

It is free. Starting next year we will have a small entry fee to enter the model contest. The model contest is open to sportscars, F1, Indy, Lemans, Trans Am, FIA and road racing models only. It is open to all automotive makes as long as they fit into the above theme.

Hope to see you.

Re: Ferrari Expo-Strictly 43rd Revival 2010

Some of the models and cars at Ferrari Expo. A very good turnout again. Ramon Garcia won best of show with the black Ferrari 599.
Steve Yuen took second in 1/24th with the C6R. Also the Ferrari F2001 by Charbel Perez Caram from Mexico was a great build by this new to Ferrari Expo model builder. He also did the fantastic Nissan 300ZX. We had 4 new builders join us this year, 2 from Mexico. It keeps growing every year. Check out the C9 that was on the primer table. The 1/43rd winner was John Tinay with his very nice Mclaren MP4/5 with driver figure.
Mike Klessig took best large scale with Porsche 910 1/12th Tamiya. It was also nice to see a built 1/12th MG Ferrari D50 in person. The model looks alot better in person.

Thanks to kaz, spike and all the rest who have made this part of their schedule!!
