Re: Ferrari F-40 "Beurlys" spider, scale 1/8
Thanks guys
![]() The "boxes" were not big enough, so I added a 2mm plastic strip : ![]() ![]() The front has some difficult angles : ![]() ![]() The 2 triangles have been joined with some Lego and a piece of aluminium sheet : ![]() ![]() The triangles have to be strong, because they will carry the weight of the front bonnet : ![]() I used a piece of brass square rod, and shaped it like the real ones : ![]() ![]() The square rod gave me an idea. How about using it to make the latches on the bonnet ? Like this : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fits perfectly ! : ![]() ![]() Last edited by Pascal D; 11-23-2011 at 07:46 PM. |

The new radiator will be made from plexiglass. The cooling pipes are attached to the triangles on both sides of the radiator. First I made these from plexiglas and covered them with aluminium sheet :![]() ![]() Yours sincerely Pascal Last edited by Pascal D; 11-23-2011 at 07:40 PM. |

I wanted to make the radiator from aluminium sheet, here's some pics of the progress :
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The fan was a lot of work : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Progress is very slow, but it's going in the right direction. Last edited by Pascal D; 11-23-2011 at 07:32 PM. |

Re: Ferrari F-40 "Beurlys" spider, scale 1/8
I made the frame for the fan from brass sheet :
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The frame that holds the fan has raised edges : ![]() To simulate this, used copper wire : ![]() It took me a couple of hours, but it looks good : ![]() The radiator has a coolant pipe on each side. I made these from 2 pieces of brass tubing soldered together : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yours sincerely Pascal Last edited by Pascal D; 11-23-2011 at 07:34 PM. |
