That looks great - especially considering the true size of the wheel compared to that highly magnified image. You should be very pleased with what you've achieved!

![]() I'll to try to have 10 of them ready for you by Friday or next Monday. BTW I made them 2 mm larger than the Fujimi wheels in case you decide to go with larger tires at the rear, but the resin is very easy to sand to the right size. |

Re: Dino 246 'Daytona' insert seats.
Hi,
I'm in the process of learning how to cast them properly. Some of them come up good some less, so it's taking a bit of time. For now I manage a set par day of well cast wheels (5x), as I only use a one wheel mold. One of our fellow forum members agreed to make a good quality mold and than I will be able to produce them faster. I'll keep everyone updated once I can produce them in a bigger quantity. Thanks for your understanding. |

What material did you use for your dino seats?

I would love a set of these wheels when you get them done. I have Dino kit that definitely needs them.

I absolutely want both the seats and couple sets of these wheels. Please (please, please!) make me some.

Re: Dino 246 'Daytona' insert seats.
Progress on the 2nd seat has stalled due to overriding domestic chores but it should be finished soon enough. Then, due to the generosity of another forum member, they can be cast in resin. Details to follow....

Re: Dino 246 'Daytona' insert seats.
Fantastic work! I also would like some seats and wheels when they are available.
Note: I don't know how accurate you want to be but the 'Daytona' seats in the Dino was part of an option package commonly referred to as 'Chairs and Flares'. Those Dino's as part of the package had fender flares...see pics. http://ctlauto.com/1974Dino.html http://www.timwalkerrestorations.co....GTS%20comp.JPG

Re: Dino 246 'Daytona' insert seats.
Time for an update:
Personal circumstances have kept me away from my modelling bench for several weeks, so I have not been able to complete the seats yet. However, I'm now back on the job.... Earlier today the postman delivered a small cardboard package to my home. Inside were a number of resin castings of the Campagnolo wheels! jano11 has done a brilliant job on these little beauties! The level of detail is superb, the castings are devoid of any pin holes/air bubbles and there is only minimal flash to be removed from around the wheels' piercings - a very simple and quick job. The wheels are cast to the correct width of the Campagnolos, leaving the modeller the option of either adding a tyre wider than the Fujimi kit tyre, or reducing the Campagnolos' width to fit the kit tyre. Quite simply, these little gems look like Dino Campagnolos - and you can't complain about that, eh? I will clean one of them and put some paint on as soon as time allows, and then post a photo here. Thanks again jano11, you've made me very happy! Jon. |
