Azn if I'm not mistaken, the intake manifold is how it comes on the Sunny DET's. Chris' 200 is GTI-R powered.

I believe that is the Pulsar GTi-R engine so therefore it has individual throttle bodies as the intake manifold. Chris, what is it about the cylinder head thats different than regular DETs for the GTi-R? Oops someone beat me to the response.

both the BB and GTi-R DETs have quad individual TBs. i wonder if you will get any gains from swapping in the GTi-R cams into the BB?

Nice engines people...I've seen some engines with red spark plug wires...what brand are those? What other brands make wires for the P11? Would the wires fit both the the P10 SR20 and the P11 SR20?

No the BB doesn't have Quad TB's BB is just like the US SPEC motor with piston coolers, watter cooled oil cooler and lower comprestion and different cams' thats all that is different in a BB and a N/A SR20DE motor

GTIR motor is totally different . The block is a diffrent casting. Casting code of a BB and N/A SR20DE is 53J and a GTIR is 54C. The head is totally different the head bolts are thicker on a GTIR the CAM's can't be switched due to the GTIR has micanical solid lifter head and the 53J BB motors are just the the N/A SR20DE witch have hidrolic lash adjusters.
GTIR are a bitch to set the lash adjustments. You have to reshim the hole head. we had to do it on mine. its not a 1 day thing takes a cople of days.

Plug wires. Nothing is better then Stock.. I have tested Nology's and I lost HP along with magnacore's and the best have been Stock. NGK OE's are not bad ether

probably not going to get the swap now. low budget, and im probably going to get a P11 in june. i will do a DET swap into the P11 later on myself. i live in Irvine, well close to it, if you know where that is.
