Re: New 0-60mph RECORD... with proof >?

Yessir. You can make a pull on the street, pull into Hardees, review your logs, make adjustments and save the changes, then pull out of Hardees with your new tune.

A stutterbox is a rev limit that takes control under two conditions, A) when the vehicle is stopped and B) when the clutch is pushed in. This allows the person to pull up to the line and hold the gas to the floor, but a rev limiter keeps it at a desired RPM, I think 4500 rpm is recommended. When the clutch is released so is the rev limiter allowing the revs to head toward redline. The stutterbox and anti lag allow the car to build boost at the line which would help with 60' times and such. The NLTS (no lift to shift) is the same concept except it engages when A) the car is moving and B) the clutch is in. This gets the RPM's to a good shift point and combined with the anti lag keeps boost up between shifts. Those two things combined with the adjustable overall rev limitter qualify DSMlink's rev limiting capabilities as a three step I think, someone correct me if I am wrong.

The stutterbox, NLTS, and antilag are very powerful tools... I think I read somewhere that a normal street car can pick up as much as .25 of a second in the 1/4 mile with just those.

So, in a N/A or auto-transaxle, theese items are the non-existant?

Man, I feel like a newbie all over again. Only "real" exposure I've had with turbos is the inlaws srt4, which when you're looking at everything, it all kinda makes sense. So on his, he had this "black box" underneathe the air intake with all the hoses for this turbo junctioning at it. This item would be the same?

N/As can still use a stutterbox and the NLTS (not from DSMLink though) but have no need for anti-lag (since we have none).

Seems like autos should still be able to use the rev-limiter, but since there's no clutch, you may not be able to use with DSMLink.

See, any real dsmer drives a turbo 5 speed, so I guess I really dont know.

DSMlink is only available for turbo DSM's so where the NLTS and stutterbox can be used on NA vehicles (both available on Hondata for example), the antilag is useless for anything not turbo'd. Obviously the NLTS is obsolete for auto cars, and I am totally unsure about the stutterbox and anti lag. Between shifts in an auto the antilag wont have time to help anything and the stutterbox runs on a clutch wire, so unless there's some way to jerry rig it I dont think either of those will work with the autos... atleast not via DSMlink.

I guess I have no idea what you're talking about as far as a black box, but if its got hoses connected to it I'd guess its either a factory or aftermarket form of boost control. DSMlink cannot do this, but a $40 Joe P manual boost controller or $200 and some odd dollar Greddy Profec electronic boost controller can.

stutter box is by far my favourite. 1.7 60ft on a daily driven full weight car is very nice

So in a nutt-shell, while you're 'staged' at the line, it allows you hold rpms at the start of the max powerband and builds boost for the launch.

Re: New 0-60mph RECORD... with proof >?

exactly almost effectively eliminating "turbo lag". On the line I built 8 psi of boost while my Rpm's are held at 5500rpm (my desired launch rpm) and my pedal mashed all the way to the floor. No feathering it to get it to the right rpm and boost on the launch equals great launches almost everytime.
