How are you going to use a 44 to defend yourself any better than a glock? Besides, the only time you're actually justified to use a gun is against a gun, and if buddy already has gone for it, and has it drawn, you're as good as gone.

Guns are for people who can't take care of themselves. What do you mean by defense weapon? Are you going to clobber them with it? No, you're going to shoot them, and most likely kill them...

Hell, I'm pro gun control, here in Canada, you're not permitted to carry a firearm unless you can demonstrate a legal need for it, eg. Police, Military, or if you're a security guard. If the average joe on the street couldn't get his hands on a handgun in a week, there would probably be a lot less murders in the US. I know there are in Canada.

I'm not meaning to pick a fight by any means, but I don't like the idea of everyone carrying a gun on them, especially since so few people are actually trained in how to use the things properly.

If I come at you with one of my swords, and you dont have a gun, 99% chance your dead...

Yes, I have swords, yes I know how to fight with them. If you have a stick, or a knife, your dead.

What if I can throw a knife? Are you going to block it?

And who says you have to use a killshot? Why not just pop off a knee? How about a shot to the shoulder? Miss and you kill them...but still, at least you tryed to save their life then.

And a 44 can be used for self defence. if someones on PCP 9mm isnt going to phase them. A police LT I knew offloaded his revolver (327M) into him, hit with all 6 shots. 1 hit his head, one hit his neck, and the rest into his chest. He then jumped off the freeway *they were on an overpass* and splatered, and kept running.

A 44 with hollowpoints could sever a limb, or take someones head off.

And we cant have that glock out here, any automatic pistols, or any other assualt weapons we cant have. So I'll stick to my high caliber pistols and low caliber rifles.

Kinda glad to see this thread getting "back on topic" (?).

Flaming wars about gun control belong in the Completely Off Topic section... don't make me actually use my Mod status j/k

Bah, a fully loaded Glock 32, which is the shorter barrel compact frame Glock, sporting the .357 Sig round, weighs 30 ounces! Quicker on the draw, easier to carry.

I think they're even cheaper than the DE, retailing for $600 new... They also feature recoil compensation, in the form of barrel porting. So quickly squeezing off a fast group, you'll have better accuracy.

Glock OWNZ J00!

No, really, they do :hehehe:
