My friends 94 GSR is getting really shitty gas mileage, but thats cause 2 of his injectors are cracked, he got some venom ones though, but still needs a fuel controller to stop the car from burning rich.

I can see why people dig V8 torque... I had a '91 GT 5.0 way back when and it was a blast... though it rode like a truck and had switch gear that would seem cheap for a Kenner toy let alone a car.

I now have an ITR and though I do not like the lack of torque, I really like how it handles, brakes, and how connected I feel to the car... it is a lot like a 4 wheel motorcycle. You are just not going to get that feel from a 3300 lb (give or take) Corvette.

That said, if your goal is all out speed and performance the Vette's kick it. The Z28 build quality is rather poor, but there is no doubt that it is a lot of power, handling, and braking for the money.

The ITR suits my style just fine... even though I know I am not going to be beating any Z's or Vette's in stop light races.

Hey man,
I am the guy that posted that has the gs-r that beat the z -28, And for your information you can go to carstats and my car has a faster quarter mile than the z28 . STOCK! and I have intake, headers, catback exhaust, and pulleys. And I am talking about a older z28 like the same year as mine.

Shawn, u need some rice, well i suggest u read this...

YOU MIGHT BE A RICE BOY IF ...

... you find yourself using the excuse 'yo, but you gots twice as many cylindas, dude after EVERY race
... you drive a 4 door 'type R'
... your gumby pants make it hard to shift
... more than 20 of your mods involve shielding what is actually underneath
... you have stickers that even most asians don't get
... you have stickers for parts you dont have
... you refer to 50hp as the 'big shot'
... your car has so much camber it can drive on its side
... when you drive by, WWII veterans run for shelter
... your exhaust tip diameter is 4 times the inner muffler diameter
... you have 'power by' anything anywhere on a car made by the engine manufacturer
... birds make nests on your spoiler because its taller than the trees
... you sell crack for the image...not the money
... you have 'N/T' polished on the side of car and you don't know what bracket racing is...
... you will only race if the other guy removes four sparkplugs
... you can't race uphills
... you have "All Motor" emblazoned on your rear hatch right next to your 14.50 dial in
... you brag to have nitrous and have a 14.50 dial in
... your exhaust system for your 1.8L is bigger than most Pro-stock cars
... you spent more money on stickers and stripes than your parents paid for your car
... you go to a performance shop and immediately start rummaging through the decal bin
... your tach is bigger than your head
... you have a shiftlight and your car is an automatic
... you refuse to race because it's a "show car"
... your only mods are cut factory springs and a 5" chrome exhaust tip
... at Autocross events you don't participate because you have a drag race setup and at drag events you brag about kicking ass on the autocross.
... you have more lights on the front of your car than the USS Voyager
... you brag about a turbo kit that never seems to get installed.
... your exhaust sounds like a dying Moose
... your bright green $300 air filter is bigger than your engine.

Now do u really want rice???

Yea... but sorry shawn, i don't think u could really beat a 300hp+ monster with the teg. i don't care, old new or space age, he either wasn't racing or it's not the truth. And u can emphesis that the camaro was stock all you want. Hardly any people modify camaros anyway, it's not the type of car that u modify unless you are a dragster or something, than i could picture the headers and whole nine yards.

the spedo only went up to 85 because of some gas crisis...every american car came with an 85 spedo in the mid 80s, even the speedy escorts!@ with a few exceptions...thats why the corvettes started coming with digital spedometers...chevy didnt want their flagship carrying an 85 on the dash.

and why would you even compare a v8 to a i4? of course the 8 is going to make more power. thats a huge engine...you wouldnt compare a v8 to a v12 would you?

Hey pontiactrac, I don't know what the heck you're talking about? I need rice? Okay. Are you just jealous or something? I am not the one that posted at the beginning of this thread, and rice boys piss me off too. Just because I said i beat a camaro does not mean I need rice. The camaro was a 94 or 95 and it is possible, because I have a gsr and I keep it properly tuned. I have new plugs, new plug wires, new distributor(mainly because my other one screwed up), new cap, rotor, fuel filter. Eventhough all my aftermarket parts are bolton, they add up the horsepower in the long run.Basically what I am saying is it's not impossible like you make it sound. I can't believe noone else is taking my side in this forum, I figured many people have beaten old z 28 and mustangs. In the last reply, are you telling me you don't believe me about what car I drive, because i can scan a pic if you want me to.

its not impossible at all. a 94 camaro is only rated at 160hp an 200lbs of torque, while tipping the scales at a lil over 3200 lbs. so if the guy was stock w/ his v6, then its not gonna be that tough of a race for u to win. so if u gotta gsr, then yeup, ur gonna beat the camaro 9/10 times, unless u can't drive.

I thought he was talking about beating older camaros that had more power. Beating a 160hp camaro isn't even worth bringing up.
