Great looking details, Clay. That radiator really looks good.

Re: WIP:Greg Anderson's Vegas General NHRA Pro Stock
Thanks Ken and Shayne!! Things are still moving along. I finally got almost all of the body panels cleared and polished. Once that was done I added the rear wing, and began adding dzus fasteners and a few of the decals. It's finally starting to look like a Greg Anderson car.
![]() ![]() ![]() The hood scoop was painted snow white pearl, and then using the decals as a template, I masked and shot the metallic red. The decal flame borders were added, and now it's ready to be cleared. ![]() ![]() Last thing I've been working on is the doors. I added a few decals, and installed new side windows from .020 sheet plastic. These still need PE rivets to finish them off. ![]() Hopefully I can get the rest of the windows in, and then get back to the interior details. Thanks for looking. ClayK

Re: WIP:Greg Anderson's Vegas General NHRA Pro Stock
The list of things are finally starting to wind down before this one is finished. One area that hadn't received much attention so far is the interior. With a full day in front of me, I dove into scratch building the Liberty shifter set-up. Using basically sheet plastic, and various bits of left over PE, I built up the handle and tabs, as well as the transmission top. Once both were painted and installed I worked link by link adding the shifter rods from RB Motion 1501 rod ends and tubing.
From there I was able to install the drivers seat, belts, pedals, and finally the dash. The kit steering wheel was detailed with 'chute release cords and radio cords finished off with Sakatsu buttons. I turned a new air bottle and fire bottle, and they were also detailed and installed. With the fire bottle in place I was able to connect it to the drivers release pull lever and finished it off with a "Safecraft" tag. Still more work to do in here, but it's getting closer! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And finally, a quick mock up with body setting on..... ![]() Thanks as always for looking, should be able to finish it up soon! ClayK

Re: WIP:Greg Anderson's Vegas General NHRA Pro Stock
Amazing looking interior. Although, aren't the top parts of the belts supposed to be weaved through the buckle?
Do you do this full time or do you have a regular job as well? How long has this one actually taken time wise? |

Re: WIP:Greg Anderson's Vegas General NHRA Pro Stock
I didn't think it was possible to squeeze so much detail and realism into a 1/24 kit
