Re: MAN TGA expedition vehicle

At first I was thinking a dark blue or forrest green on the cab, but the I thought about white. This would look great with a white cab and maybe a darker gray for the rest? Or vice versa?! Either way, this thing has really come out nicely!

Wow, that really comes along nicely. How much paint did you need? I would be afraid that IŽd need about 3 or 4 cans to get this paint job right...

Amazing scratchbuilding work! This has been a joy to watch. Now that it's really fleshing out, it's only getting better! Keep up the amazing work.

This is awesome. First build I've ever seen that incorporates architecture!

Re: MAN TGA expedition vehicle

Hi Sebastian,

Very nice model here, the front window looks so clear and real, that's very well executed !

I only have a question you may not enjoy but... Humm, I risk myself asking it

Don't you think you gave to much overhang to the model ?

But once more, what a beautifull result !

Hi Phil,

...yeah, I do! But I had no other choice due to many reasons:

- he wants to be able to stand upright in the garage
- he didn't want a truck with three axles
- the motorcycle has to fit in lengthwise
- the sleeping area is atop the garage (you need some headroom there, too)
- and....maximum height is 4000mm by European laws.

Initially it was planned to be 30mm/720mm (in scale/real) shorter...
MAN says this is the maximum rear overhang
for this chassis. I know it looks rather silly, but there's nothing I can do about it

Next project of such kind will be a UNIMOG (with almost no overhang at all).

Until then...
