Re: "Slowass" got humbled

It's more or less what I anticipated. People don't consider how fast the new Z06 is for the most part. Looked like a decent run though. You didn't get stomped too bad

Time to continue modding.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

His gearing played the biggest role.
With the powerband the Z06 has, a roll race is hard for anyone to win against one. The powerband starts at 2500 and stays flat until 7000.

At the track would probably be a different story.
At least I hope.
At the very least...it would be MUCH closer.

That's wishful thinking. If that guy knows what he is doing he should match you or better you 60' wise on equal tires. It would get really ugly if he deleted the torque management.

As bad as this race was imagine what will happen when you go against the S/C'ed Vette coming out. It's time to stop being such a sissy when it comes to putting the nawwsssss on your car

A 200 shot would make you near untouchable, and also make up for the atmospheric conditions that you have at your track.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

No cage = no nitrous.

11.49 and faster requires a cage. And the car isn't getting one.
Already should be a 10 second car off the mountain.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

Maybe not a 200 shot, something like 150 would be nice though.

Otherwise you're never going to be fast.

Who cares about the cage. You can run 1/8th mile all day at the track without a cage. It's all in the first 60 feet anyways.

You make me laugh.

No 1/8 mile track here. And that is only half a race anyways.
I know there are limits there too though.
I won't race it if it doesn't pass tech for the ET it goes. Safety > all.
That is why they have the rules. To keep you and everyone at the track safe.

And...what the hell is fast to you??
13's?
12's?
11's?
Low 11's?
Upper 10's?

What?

i'm pretty sure his car has already reached "nearly untouchable" status. also as a personal preference I don't really like using nitrous,, it's more dangerous to your engine and it almost feels like cheating since you can run out of it..I prefer an all motor car or forced induction w/ out a shot of any kind. again tho it's all a matter of opinion and preference.

Re: "Slowass" got humbled

I would say mid 9s is sufficiently fast enough for the street.

You've got a long way to go buddy.
I'll give you some great advice that you should listen to. I have year and years of racing experience over you, so I think I know what I'm talking about.
Anyways, my advice is to sell the car and get something light. It's not big engines and torque that win races, its weight loss that truly matters.
If you want to be competitive, I would say build a turbo Civic or something along those lines.
