Re: My first muscle car!
Im a Musclecar to import guy myself. My first car was a rumbling 70 GTO. Sold it a few months back so I can get more into sportbikes. I loved and hated the car. Sounded great, but It didnt move well. Great score though! Toronados are AMAZING cars to look at. The lines run so well, blend perfectly to a clean exterior. Sexy.
Correct me if im wrong, but I could have sworn that the toronado was FWD. I know it has the massive 455, but I swore it was a 3 speed auto transaxel.

You are correct. It was pioneering marvel at the time it came out with the FWD, since the motor sits transverse, seeming like it RWD, but is actually a FWD. The only reason why I got a Toronado was because, as you said, the lines are just amazing; there's nothing like it on the road. I was going to go with a 66 GTO as a second choice, if I did not find a Toro, but I'm lucky I did. If it's just a nice looking and cool sounding weekend cruiser, I'm not really bothered with it being FWD. |
