Re: Porsche Carrera GT

You'll have to put this in a display case, so it can't be covered with fingerprints or dust. And I'm rather curious what you'll answer to auw12's question.. do you "threat" you're windows?

Was awesome Rob. Ran into a friend of yours, Paul. His Green Willis was a beauty, with some very nice turned parts on it.

The CGT won its category with a score of 99/100! I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and peered over the judges shoulders while they judged it.

Thanks. I don't do anything special with the windows. I do keep them bagged up until the last possible moment to minimise handling. Sometimes I've used polishing compound to remove minor scratches, but find it is best to avoid scratches in the first place. I've heard dipping in future is the way to go but we don't have genuine future in this country, so I can't try that.

Re: Porsche Carrera GT

A few guys have asked me what I used on the wheels to dull them down and shade the centers, both in the progress thread and at the Expo today. I found the stuff again, its called Kosutte Gin-San. HLJ have it in stock.

Re: Porsche Carrera GT

I don't seriously think even the real car is as orange peel-less as this model...

Absolutely stunning!
