Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

Should add my Vibe gets better mileage than a Caliber. How about those bananas?

Ok I just don’t get it. If you have a Vibe why are you even thinking about buying a Compass? Do you actually expect that there will be some difference in off-road performance between the 2 vehicles?

Nope, but then it would take intelligence to understand why I might buy a Patriot or a Compass.

Just to please you maybe I'll buy 2.

EODI.

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

Jeep has put out a variety of vehicles that aren't exactly "trail rated" and the Compass is just a way for dedicated Jeep owners to complain.. plus cross some of the escape, aztec, etc.. owners to go to chrysler.. and maybe upgrade to something of actual JEEP quality

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

I agree with people... this is not a jeep, its not a BAD A** car that you can go mudding in, and then drop the top, it was for the people who wanted the jeep name, but didn't need capabilities that a real jeep offers. I like the style, the efficiency... the jeep name (and the classic jeep 7 slot grill, that isn't on the similer DODGE Caliber) ... and the room, , thats why you research before you buy.

Re: Would you buy a FWD Jeep?

Just bought a 2014 Jeep Compass Sport. Last post is correct - this is my commuter - with about 30 mpg it's good enough that I can cut back on riding my motorcycle from Myrtle Beach to Charleston and back 5 days a week and still afford the fuel. Not to mention the fact that at in the same sales transaction (trading in our 4 dr Wrangler Sahara Unlimited 07, we also went home with a 2 dr '14 Wrangler Sport 4wd W/ a 6 spd standard tranny. Works for me and I get Jeep quality on TWO vehicles!
