Hi , I dont want to sound as I am sticking up for this 9.99 seller but, I bought a Tamiya 1/12th scale Kawasaki ZX12-R off him and it came pretty quick, the corner of the box was slightly dented but apart from that it was superb, the contents were wrapped in loads of bubble wrap and they were immaculate

I also sell and buy quite a bit on ebay, mostly bike and car models but sometimes for my other passion, my 1/1 toy in the sig at the bottom. My user name on ebay is the same as on this forum, my feedback is 88 and is at 98.9%, it would have been 100% but some no mark seller, 46rossi47lee, gave me bad feedback, he said he took pay-pal and when I tried to pay he said he wanted cash or money transfer only, I tried to email him but no luck even about 30, yes 30 emails, so the s**t gave me bad feedback, I have sold kits all over the world and have yet to get a complaint, check out my feedback and you'll see what I mean, as I have nothing to hide. I've bought a few bits for my bike (from UK sellers I must add) and have been jipped but never with kits, and they have came from all over the world. With living in the UK there is a shortage of decent hobby/model shops so I've got to look further afield to satisfy my plastic addiction .

exshowroom could be nicedraftking, they have the following similarities:

1. Selling kits at loss (you know the MSRP yen price of those kits, and even in HK, direct buying from dealer couldn't get such low price.

2. The way of his packaging according to "gpz900ra7" seems very similar to the one used by draftking.

I just want to raise a warn, no offense to him.

he's not selling them at a loss.
lets take the ferrari 550 that he's selling.
£8.99+£6.30 for postage = £15.29 = approx. HK$215.
even if the buyer opts for the cheaper postage, the total is still HK$176.
in HK the kit is around HK$180 in a store and i've seen it for HK$150 as part of a deal (i.e HK$300 for two).

anyway, it has been discussing and sharing experience with 1 bad HK seller which sells kits at low price and gain 100+ feedback in 3 months. Then ran away and terminated all the paypal and ebay account; and open an new account and cheat money using the same way.

that is what I want to point out

p.s. exchange rate of GBP to HKD is around 13HK$=1GBP, i.e. 15.29=198.77

this is what you should've pointed out in the first place.
does more than just linking to some random guy's e-bay profile.

Re: Scams on Ebay!

Only time Ive ever had a problem with e-bay a guy sold me a kit with no body shell for a Beemer z8. wasnt too much of a big deal though I've saved hundreds on ebay.
the odd genuine mistake is exceptable.
The fraudsters you guys are mentioning are quite alarming.People will try anything for a couple or quid.

Im new here but since this has been made a relatively busy thread why dont you guys make a thread on here and post the names of the ones whos been noted for with-holding kits.Or non paying
Maybe this would benefit some of us later.??

that's a go idea, let me know. I will go knock him(them) out.

other things just want to point out, some sellers from Hong Kong will not sell to buyers from Hong Kong, why? the reason is they are selling model kits in impossible low prices, they'll only make profit will high shipping cost.

I will say the kit price mostly around HKD$80(USD$10) to HKD$160(USD$20)

His new display show only the top of the box and what's inside the box, in the box... the old way he does: the top of the box and what's inside the box OUTSIDE the box...

It's not so solid but...

What sould I do instead of crying in the bathroom?

Re: Scams on Ebay!

I'm just wondering, is it okay to buy from a person with feedback score at 7886 with 99.5% and a member since Dec-28-98?

I'm new to ebay.

Reading his feedback, he seems to be a decent seller, I guess it depends on what you're buying.
