Stock, they are quick, but toally gutless, they only have "power" in first gear and in second between 4k and 5.5k. But they are a badass platform for turboing.

I think other motors are fast, hell to some extent a stock 240sx dohc is fast, if your in traffic how much power do you really need? you can stomp on it with your ass whipping 155hp and be on someone bumper wrecking their shit in 5 seconds.....


but in the end, v8's can make more power.... and if anyone can prove me otherwise please do it right now....

show me a Jap 4 or 6 cylinder making more power then the top v8's... you won't be able to do it.

Look, its no big secret that the engien with the highest overall displacement(not jsut the number they put on the valvecover, but how much the engine flows at max RPM) ultimately can make teh msot power. Duh, airflow=HP. And all the true import tuners know this. The only thing us import guys do is take advantage of people with potential that don't use it. So what that you can make more power in teh end? All that matters is what you're making now. Either win or lose respectfully.

And don't even say Top fuels. They don't count. For it to count, you have to make at least three passes without popping a cylinder.

And i might not be able to show you a V-6 or anything smaller that will beat the record V-8's, I can show you turbine engines that will, so what? Am I going to only think anything with a turbine jet engine in it is fast? Because, they are faster, right?

yeah in this thread its appropriate thats why i decided to argue about your V-8>* stance because the thread is actually related to V8's. but in countless other threads its the same old shit blah blah blah V8's are the fastest blah blah blah.
