Nice hole....that is round if ive never seen one
as for resin...MDF soaks up anything liquid you put on it...gallons of water based paint can go into a 4x8 sheet before it stops soaking it up (which is why you prime with acrylic based...) MDF will soak plenty of resin up making it much stiffer... HDF is good but it is even more of a pain to work with... with HDF i just about want to use a carbine tiped blade...too bad they dont make thoes for jig saws...of course for HDF i use a router to cut holes...not a jig saw...and a table saw instead of a circular saw. Even still, with HDF it is a good idea to slap some resin or something...especially in extreme applications; and if you are using HDF it is extreme anyway unless you are a flex freak...that .001 mm of flex with 3/4 mdf is too much for your JL w0's. |
