Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Hello all

Finally, I have finished the decal on the monoque and engine cowl and now is letting it dry before giving then clear coat.

For the white-strip on the 2 sides of the engine cowl, it seems that the S27 decal did not come with enough strip, therefore, I have used up the strip from the original kit, have the excessive clear edge to be cut and then put on the decal with decal setter.

Thank you for visiting

Mikusen

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Looking good! After the clear is on you'll have a grade-a finish on that body. Like the livery too.
Btw, is it just a camera focus problem or does the '32' have much sharper edges than the textdecals on the wing endplate?

It is true that the area under "32" is originally tapered so it looks thinner near the end of the endplate.
However, this part is a test built that I have done some time ago so I didn't give any paint for this. But I will build another one with some modification to match the Spa version.

Stay tune

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Hello all

I have applied the first layer of clear coat on the engine cowl and monoque. They will be allowed to dry before the second coat.

Happy Modeling

Re: In Progress: Jordan 191

Hello all

Some more update on the Jordan 191:

I have tried to paint the tyre marks last night.
I have used the Polycarbonate paint and after that I did some touch up on the marks to give it a dirty look.

For the rim, I have it painted with semi-gloss black and then applied the decals from S27.
Finally, I give it a semi-gloss clear coat to have a even brightness and added up the stem valve.

Thank you for comment and visiting
