Re: New Wheels: Question

yea, i have 16s with 205/40-16 or something like that for my tires. and it stays just inside my fender. i had my car lowered as far as i could lower it on my coilovers a few months ago and i had absolutely no tire rub at all.

I saw this post and thought I would ask a few wheel/tire quesstions. So I am planning on getting some Yokohama tires, but i'm not sure which ones to get..I live in Oregon so it is fairly damp here..and I need some wheels that look a little Euro..but every damn one I find is 17 and up..I need 16's.. I know I should research this myself and I have been for awhile..but I need input.

Re: New Wheels: Question

Its all about offset, it doesn't matter if you have 185s, if the offset on the rim isn't right its going to rub no matter how small your tires are.

Lots of guys are tucking 225/40/17s on Hondas.

The distance from the center of the rim to the hub mounting surface.

dude go w/15" rims. I don't really like the rims on the first page, I'm not much for aftermarket wheels. I say go w/some GS-R fat fives (that's what I have) or some Si's. I have a 2" drop on my car w/15" wheels and a 205/50/15 tire, my tires only rub when I take turns at high speeds and my alignment and camber are out of whack, just get a proper alignment/camber setup when you get your wheels put on, and get some nice shocks/springs.

Re: New Wheels: Question

40mm offset and 4x100 bolt pattern?

Re: New Wheels: Question

i think the farthest i lowered my car on my coilovers was like 3.5ish, maybe a tad less. and no, my tires didnt rub or hit my fenders.

i just got my new 17" 5zigens this week and i'd say it definately looks odd without being lowered. i have to decide within the next month or 2 if i'm just going to lower it or setup a full air ride. decisions decisions.. i'll get some pictures up of the rims this weekend.. pac
