Re: How much snow do you have where you live?

We have 25-30" of snow, drifts upwards of 5 feet tall, and man-made piles of snow topping 15 feet tall. my Nissan is completely covered from ground to roof- there's a pile of snow in front of my house that looks like it sprouted two mirrors and an antenea aerial. One station wagon was completely covered, and only the aerial was visible. Snow plows are useless because they drive ten feet and then have to stop because the snow is falling OVER their blades.

In the words of my MSN name, "We got sn-0wn3d"

Re: How much snow do you have where you live?

i live in toledo ohio.. we just got about 7 inches.. but i went a little west(maybe an hour) of here today to snowmobile and they had more like a foot and a half.. and it was like 30 below with the windchill.. not the greatest to snowmobile in (esp. because there was almost too much snow)

Re: How much snow do you have where you live?

In ND, there is about 4" of snow, but the last week it has been too cold to snow...if you can believe it! It was around -20 F at night a couple nights and wind chill on top of that. We have more ice than snow. It is warming up though to around 32 F woooooo! Warm weather

Re: How much snow do you have where you live?

Yesterday was warmer here than in Pensacola, Florida. It's +2C today, better than the forecasted -11C...

Yep same boat here. Not as much fell, but it's blowing around like mad.

They would normally make you work today? Don't you get at least one day off, because Boxing Day was on the weekend, if not two days off because Christmas Day was as well?

Yea looks similar to where I'm at now, we're open 365 days a year but if we work holidays is double time and a half so it's not too bad at all.
