Re: What is a good gear Ratio for me?

Well new your looking at somewhere around 500.00 -600.00 in parts and most likely 200.00 -350.00 for the install and used you can get complete unit with 3.73's gears for 250.00 -350.00 and if you really want to go the cheap route Richmond make's a Video that will show you complete removal and install procedure. Anyone in the NJ area can borrow mine if they would like and I have like 2 or 3 differentials sitting around and 2 set's of gears 3.23's and 3.42's but for performance I would go 3.73's which I don't have

Re: What is a good gear Ratio for me?

About a year and half ago I couldn't even change Transmission Fluid by myself and after reading DIY manuals and watching video's as well as Net resources info. I did my first complete rebuild/stroker and rebuilt a tranny this summer (and ask around I road on the tiny school bus) . So its not as hard as it looks if you prepare before hand for every posible problem you may come across

Re: What is a good gear Ratio for me?

I'll tell you what you can have my used one out of my old rear end for free just pay shipping on it. It worked fine but I did crack a ring gear with it but it didn't damage the differential. its pretty heavy I would say about 20 -25 Lbs. If you look up some shipping quote's I'll ship it anyway you want.

I don't plan on buying a house, I would just get a condo or just rent a place which is less than Westchester ,NY where I'm originally from. I also have alot of friends out there ,so I could stay with one of them til I found a place anyway.
