Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

Guys............seriously......a 3.8 F-body with a 5 speed is a nice car...it's quicker than you all think.....and I have plenty of fun with mine.

Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

I'm not saying that the V6 Camaro is slow; it's quick, agile, and sporty, and that's why I want one. But if I wanted something truly FAST, I'd definitely spend a little more and get a V8. So it's kinda pointless to argue about how fast the V6 Camaro is when the V8 Camaro blows it out of the water anyways.

Ok, simple as this.

camaroincal, where are you located? I assume you're in California? If you're in the SoCal area I'll come to you and show you what I'm talking about.

Deal?

Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

ha ha ha ha ha holy crap im mad i missed this unfold, matt im lovin it even more and the fact that it doesnt look like what it really is, is the best part... im glad those dudes got owned and camaroiconal(or however your name is spelled) v6's might be fast yes, faster than my truck(four cyl with broken motor mounts and a fucked up clutch) but the fact that i could spend 2 grand more and get something that could completely crush your car is fuckin hilarious. now the sr20 is overrated, what are u retarded, i know 2 people (not on this board) with sentras swapped with that motor and they are two of the fastest cars i know of, so dont talk s*** reds car cuz yours is slow, and like his post says above, if your soooo fast(and furious) then go give him a run and u'll see how "underrated" that motor is... id LOVE to see a vid of you two race if it happens.

ok...lame ass statement of the year!

dude, i've smoked 70's z28's in my old mustang

and it was a 6 too...a 200ci inline 6. GOOD JOB, you own a firebird and the attitude of an owner with a small prick, but instead its a small engine. They dont create aftermarket because its a BASE model, or the RS camaro...ooo, body and light suspension package. But yah, i'm sure the 6 you got was really designed for racing...unlike the crappy ol' SR line of motors.....

compairing ANYTHING to stock mid 70's smogers is lame....go away poser.

Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

Totally agree, tv. My friend has a 79 camaro with a 305. it only puts out 130hp at the crank. Thats pretty pathetic for a 3,000-pound+ car

I'm in Norcal. You have a nice car....it's just you were mad or something when u posted your original post because anyone who read that and owns a V6 Camaro or Firebird feels offended by the way you worded it. And it is true that a 3.8 @ only 10 psi is capable of mid to low 12's. And your car is just maybe scratching at high 12's.............so....

I'm sorry this was a typo by me. I meant mid 70's to late 80's V8's they put in Camaro's. There is an aftermarket albeit a small one..but it's there.... And they do quite well in autocrosses actually.......

i wasn't going to say anything... but, i can't stop laughing from this statement. in my BONE STOCK *aside from a straightpipe* Estock 1986 Rx7 n/a, i could beat street prepared and STX/STS class camaros from the late 70's/early 80's

are we living in the same reality? or are there just a lot of those in your local chapter...?

Re: Panda 2.0 vs Pontiac Firebird V6

The old RX-7s are BAD-ASS in autocross. My uncle had a Porsche 911 back then (he's a doctor so I guess he could afford to race it), and he was always getting swarmed by all the S22A RX-7s.
