A few points. First off, I know both VIS and Fiber Images make good hoods. Still, you want my opinion for the BEST Carbon Fiber Hood here in the US? I Say Kaminari.
http://www.kaminari.com/brandXhood.htm
www.kaminari.com
They are not cheap to buy, they are expensive. But the qaulity and workmanship is excellent. Also, they don't require Hood Pins either. The Latch is Welded. A lot of cheaper hoods have, none welded latchs. And these CAN come off and fly up under high speed. Thats what they refer to wyhen telling you storys about it. But since the latch is welded, hood pind are not required since this is not an issue.

Anyways, as to your situation, Jenny. Accordng to a 50-state Law Chart for cars I have, Maryland DOES require a front License Plate. So you CAN get in trouble for that. I know in a lot of states, a Judge does no consider having the plate in the front window as "having a front plate," so if a ticket is issued under this circumstance, it is usually upheld. There are 20 states where front plates ARE NOT required, but Maryland is not among them. Just thought I'd let you know, that is something they can nab you on (besides the tint, which you know about). Does Maryland specificy how LOW a car can be? The info I can find states "Ride Height Modication is permitted, there is a Maximum bumper height of 20 inchs." Like I said, I'd check with DMV into seeing what the law regarding MINIMUM height is, since I could find none. YOu may be just getting shafted there. If that were the case, no ticket would stand up in court. Also, What is the height of the sticker, top-bottom? You can have "windsheild tint band of 5 inchs" in Maryland (I know cars that come 6 inchs stock, which makes the illegel from the facotry, dumb) So if the sticker was at the top and was like 6 inchs from top the bottom, then that could be a point of contention too. As trans_nsx stated. If you leave everything techincally legel, they will have nothing to get you on, and if they write a ticket, it won't stand up in court. I hope this info can help you out a bit.

Ah man, come on, lol!! Give me a break, lol....I haven't been able to fall asleep, so I haven't slept in somewhere around 24 hours, so I am dead tired. Seriously though, that does read pretty funny, huh? I'll go correct my little typo right now. You have to admitt, it was a fairly well written shpeil when you consider I am typing this all half asleep, lol.

yes it was well written. hey the link was a great idea, i'll get one for the fiber images later on today, they should have some videos of the demostration i said earlier. can't right now, have to sleep a couple of hours, wake up, do an oil change and then change my c-v axle for the high performance aftermarket version. just thinking about it right now, i pay about $45 for the materials needed for an oil change. damn, is it just me or is that a grip load?

Yea man, that does sound like a grip load for that. Oh well, have a fun time changing all that. At least it's warm out there. Shit, it's currently 38 here....at least it's not like 22 outside anymore, lol. I have heard of those fiber images videos, though I havn't watched them before. I've know Fiber Images offers "clear coating" as an "extra option" you pay more for. But I'd rather by it regular and have a body shop shoot clear if I had to. I also think Fiber Images offeres a fully finished Carbon Fiber Underside at a considerably more expensive price. How much more I don't know. I know that option and the clear coating are both pay extra. The clear coating suprises me, since a lot of the higher qaulity Carbon Fiber Hood Markers who take their time to produce a qaulity hand laid product clear coat the hood for an added shine, UV, and weather protection. A non-clearcoated CF hood would should it after a few years. I've seen the Kaminari ones before, they really do have very nice latches that are properly attaches, not to mention on the the better looking undersides on the CF hoods that arn't fully finished. The CF weave was really tight in person too, it was a buetiful hood. Send over the video link when you find it. If I find it before you post it, I'll post it up here.

I'll checked it. I think I saw it a long time ago, it looks familer to me. They are strong hoods. However, I still love Kaminari, what can I say. LOL. Fiber Images is expensive, but kaminari is expensive as hell too. Actually, I belive they cost even more. Still, either way, good qaulity isn't cheap, you know? A lot of times, you get what you pay for...(I am not knocking VIS or the fact it was cheaper and you saved money. I was just making a point).
