Re: Ferrari 250LM 1965 Le Mans Winner - MFH 1/24

Thank you for your support ianc.

The seats aren't 100% ok, but nothing you can see in real life with bare eyes. The camera extends texture and weathering effects. Also, in photos looks glossy, but is matt in reality. My photo skills are very limited.

Thanks again...

Looking good, I'll be starting mine soon and will use your engine pics for reference for oil lines etc.

Good luck with the rest of the build.

Re: Ferrari 250LM 1965 Le Mans Winner - MFH 1/24

It's St. Georges Day, so it is the best day, I think, to post the finished chassis.

A lot of work remain for the body , but the first goal achieved
Thanks for your time. Hope you like it...

Best regards
George

Re: Ferrari 250LM 1965 Le Mans Winner - MFH 1/24

Hi George,

I'm just sorting through the parts for mine and noticed your kit seams to have an additional fuel tank at the rear of the engine compartment. Is this a kit part in the version you're building?
My frame is also badly bent and I'm contemplating shortening the rear wheel hubs prior to assembling the wheels to avoid the problem you've encountered.

I'm just relieved all the parts seem to be present and correct.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers,

Lee

The attention to detail and the painting of textures and metalic tones is simply amazing, truly a magnificent representation of the art of the miniature automobile craft.

Thank you guys for this great feedback and support. Really happy that you like it. I slow down the process, because I 'm busy these days but hope I can finish it, before this year's Le Mans start.

My kit hasn't any additional fuel tanks at the rear of the engine compartment. I made them front scratch, to match the real one. Not sure if it is 100% accurate because they are to many variation in this area and the restored car photos, didn't help. For the kit problems, my advice to you, is to make the chassis, glue the rear fender on it and then, with this base, try hood attachment to the body. Also, be careful because the rear wheels are big and the space in front of rear fender is very limited. This is a mistake, I made in mine, because I didn't imagine it, before. Thanks for your support and hope you made an excellent model, even better than mine. George

Wow! Wonderful work on the engine bay. Bit of petrol and I'm sure it would run!
