2 on the bench at the moment, Revell Ferrari F1 that has turned out to be a disaster but that was kind of a test model to try out new skills and a Subaru Impreza Monte Carlo, needs more TS-50 paint though which I have to order. I also have a Tamiya Williams FW11 that is sitting in my press needs new decals but I cant find any at a reasonable price.

How do you guys that are married get away with buying so many models. My fiance looks after all our finances, heck she is an accountant so its only right.

My name is John and I am a modelholic.

I must have over 300 unbuilt kits. All my kits are race subjects only. I have all Tamiya's 1/20th F1 kits in Duplicate. I have just about every other Tamiya Race kit produced. 1/12th, 1/20th, and 1/24th F1, DTM, Rally, LeMans, etc I have a few Tamiya 1/12th bikes. Add to that resin kits from LeMans Minn. Renaissance, Studio 27, Modelers, Club M, Zacco, Treasure Hut, 1/43rd Tameo, Provance, etc kits. Fujimi 1/12th Racing Skylines, 1/16th racing Ferrari's F40's. I have racing truck transporters from Entex in 1/32 as well as 1/24th Revell AG racing transports and a couple of Ilateri transporters (That subaru race transporter, the one with the tamiya WRX kit is my newest) . A couple of Entex 1/8th scale F1's. Hasegawa LeMans and touring car kits as well as the F3000 kits. Not to mention 4 huge 3 ring binders of Studio 27 and other decals and PE sets. A lot of matching paints put away as well. There reference collection isn't small either. I have been building my collection for prolly since '96 off and on. I have an invetory but need to get it cleaned up and updated. It's on my homeowners policy and I don't even want to say its value.
There is no way I will be able to build them all, I know, maybe someday (30 yrs from now) when I retiere my build rate will go up 100x. My son has a legacy, I sure hope he likes to build. Never know maybe my daughter will build too. It started with just one or two, a better deal on shipping if I get two, etc. The collecting is as much fun as the building sometimes. Sometimes I go through and do a little sell off to pair things down. That's what its all about a hobby I enjoy. Yeah it ads up a lot but so does every serious hobby. I have friends that spend more on R/C or Mountain bikes, or cars, or women, or drugs, or travel, or??? Thank god I have a good job and a stable career.

My name is John and I am a modelholic.

1 in progress: Ford Focus RS WRC 2002
4 lying on the shelf: Hyundai Accent WRC 2002, 3 Subarus
2 finished: Subaru Imprezas 1998/2001

I'd like to build all the 2002 WRC cars first, so I have some ordering/work left to do.

Sorry Guys,

I have about 2ooo unbuilt kits (Yes twothousand).....some of them were in a semi-started state.
Only Streetcars in 1:24 or 1:25.
My sons have to build them when I´m an old man and my hands are trembling.

I've built 2 kits...
I have 2 in progress...
And 6 sitting to my self...
All of them bought in 2 months and I'm building about a model per month...
Most of them Porsches(5 out of 10) and most of them Tamyia(2 Fujimi,1 Revell,1 Esci)
Modeling is like a drag, both building and collecting models...More than 300 US spend in the two months and it kills me money wise
