What a fantastic paint job!!!

Re: Porsche 3.0 RSR 1976

So, lets see what happened with the wing:
marmotte hope to help me , so he sent here from France the rear plastic wing (think cutted from the heller 934).
The french post did the job in time and in 3 days I got it as promised. Unfortunately it arrived smashed. I took a closer look at the part, but something, as pointed out from my arena friend was not marching.I decided to save the SC rear wing anyway AND reshape it starting from the larger 935 rear wing.
the 935 has indeed a cool rear wing I plan to use maybe on other models. The high wing is always nice, and as redwine nearly mtches to everything...

so during my sawing session I will be careful in destroy the part not to be used if I wanna save part of it.

the spoiler is definitely too small in all parts

so i cutted the 935 one and rebuild the upper exiting part

as well as rebuild the rear bonnet, not rxisting in the 935 rear airscope

the 2 side parts of the wings have been enlarged too

and its final look in position:

Re: Porsche 3.0 RSR 1976

In my case: "OPAL" different front spoiler

And "Toblerone"

And actually (Le Mans Classic 2010)

One can see in the race right now is the original chassis
On a french forum, there was a discussion with the current owner, during recovery, but I don't find it more ...

I'll look later ..

You are an artist Paolo... Love your bodywork.
For the chassis, which kit you plan to use? A fujimi's enthusiast?

p.s. Merry Christmas

Re: Porsche 3.0 RSR 1976

eheh, really thank u George. Artists here inside are others. I am still planning 4ex how to stole that british hands making stuff in 1/8 .
Really happy u appreciate my efforts

My idea is to use this body over the nicest and most recent model available of the racing porsches, the tamiya 934.
It is also the cheapest around (we living in south europa CARE a lot about prices right now..).The interior shall be similar racing one, as well as wheels are probably perfectly suitable too, even if I cant still test it....and the decals too. Also this RSR was very famous in orange Jagermeister livery, even if now I am in love with toblerone car...

btw for whom wanting to use another base, I let the rear engine bay opened for now, using also there another part coming from the surgeon of the SC in resin used at the beginning.
Just basic detail probably never to be used (there is the needing to build the special 3.0 engine with all its carubarators...maybe only from fujimi very rare EM model kits.)
A lot will depend anyway from the 2words I have to share with my italian caster when I will be back there.I pretend a decent quality at a resonable price, after all the terrible stuff I bought around at stellar prices..

Re: Porsche 3.0 RSR 1976

Hello,

finally some pictures from the model I'm working on.
Last week I managed to get the second colour on the model.
( I'm not very happy with the result, a lot of dust in it, let's hope it will be OK after sanding )

I'm working on the decals now, and I'm rebuilding the rear wing, it was to small.

Still a lot of work to come on it.

Regards,
Joka-1
