Re: Aston Martin DBS

Nice that you got this kit early! If I've translated Tamiya's japanese website correctly, the DBS release date as been pushed back to May 22.

Re: Aston Martin DBS

Apparently, they decided to ship out the Lotus 79 kit before the DBS.

Not sure about this. I live in Colorado, USA and saw the DBS at the local hobby shop today. No Lotus 79 yet. My buddy picked up a DBS. Looks like a really fantastic kit.

They also had the new McLaren.

Once metalizer is completely dry, buff it slightly to reveal a bit of silver flakes. Then seal with flat clear.
Here is the result:

Will ~ Your brake disc is how to handle it?
What steps must be to the carbon fiber texture faithful?
As a whole looks like a true 1:1

Re: Aston Martin DBS

Hey Gamerxz,

I read that Tamiya gives you the option of building a manual or automatic transmission car. With the automatic option, did Tamiya provide paddle shifters and a separate dash? I ask because with the automatic tranmission, the gears are selected via four buttons that flank the ignition switch on the dash below the air vents, and I don't see the buttons molded on the dash. Not a big deal, but something they may have missed.

Re: Aston Martin DBS

Just got my kits today and luckily enough, Tamiya represented the automatic buttons with decals, so no scratch building! The kit looks great, Tamiya did a very nice job.
