Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

eerr my bad, I meant an 06'
I was looking at a new 06' , in 07 but it was new.
It only had like 12 miles on it.
Nice, but it was an automatic and we all know how I love them

It was rumored that an 07' would be out but no dice.
Then I heard an 08' would be released in late 07' at the auto show. Thats when the Camero is to be shown for the 08', but who knows.
I dont read into rumors much, when I see them at the stealerships then I'll believe thier out

Be a super nice car with twini turbo's

It was a good day for driving a porsche', that is if you were to have one

Yes Gir moving them is fun.
If its a video rental that has the clear case that you take to rent,
and the cover case empty, people sometimes end up renting the wrong movie.

My kids do that all the time.
Bring home the wrong movie that is.

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Ooo, Moving movies at blockbuster, I think i could do that. muahahahahah. Actually going to blockbuster is more like play a game of mission impossible for me. There is this guy that works there that will start talking to my girl about the most random crap neither one of us care about. So when we see him working we split up and duck behind movie racks. I signal to her where to go while we try to pick out a movie. It's funny yet annoying at the same time.
If you ever want to have some fun... while youare in walmart ( or any retail store) randomly place extra items in peoples carts as you walk by and see if they notice. I've done this on many occasions.. and it's even funny when they are shopping with someone cuz then the argue with the person about the item. On rare occasions they may even pruchase the item so i'm helping the economy at the same time!

well I better go some one just broke teh friggen copier so now i have to go see what they did...

Old people, Drop in some KY & condoms
When they get to the checkout they will have this perplexed look on thier faces

On a different note, I talked to Mike at Mizly over the weekend. He is NOT working on any build ups for the 4t40e-45e other then a better torq converter.
He is working on the 4t65E HD convertion kit for the 99+ grand am's. Wont be cheap!

Also spoke with someone at www.engineered.net they have a race limited slip differencial(LSD) cost, $500 !
Plus you need to send back the core unit.

So I am still searching for a valve body(VB) improvment.
Which I know the 02+ 45e's had a change to the VB but I need More!

So as soon as I get the part #'s and everything together I'll post it all in one thread so everyone can see what they would need to beaf up thier 4t40e series of trans. It not going to be cheap, but if you are add HP you will want to add some reliability. Other wise it will fail. Heat is the biggest killer of all automatics.

Also here is a video from a guy(tejohnson) at groomlakelabs.com
http://groomlakelabs.com/video/Trans...no_Session.wmv

btw- May 15 dont forget to forget to buy gas .
Its $3.20 here for 87 Octane, in Indy yesterday it was the same

LMAO I'm TOTALLY doing that!!

BTW just got back from the stealership... was looking at a new 06 GTO... I've known that salesman since I was like 5, so when I tried subtly getting him to let me take a ride in it he was like HA yeah right! They know me too well I guess

I think I want one now. F@#$ the AWD 4-banger STI. I want a monster V8 GTO!!! LS2 of course

BTW they said there will probably be new firebirds/GTO's in a few years... the problem now is the government has a problem with performance cars built outside the U.S., so they need to move production back into the country. The new firebird/trans am/whatever might even be supercharged Dear god will that be fast!!!

K gotta go find some painkillers, novacaine wearing off!!!

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Yes I have heard all those things about the TA/Camero and the G8 replacing the GTO's.
That was something I didnt like is the GTO's being made in AU. No wonder the costs was so high.
...Ooop one fell off the boat

Look at the V8 GP's they too should be RWD or AWD.

They's lots of "talk" and speculations . .......
With gas at $3.20 for 87 oct., most V8s need premium so I guess if you can afford the big motor then you should have the fuel costs covered

Now I know why I got out of the stealerships when I did....

Re: Grand Am Off Topic Thread

Here's a website for all of you if you haven't seen the G8 yet...
362 HP rear-wheel drive grocery getter...haha. Looks pretty nice to me..
The nicest thing is that it has the active fuel management system. That should assist with the mpg a little.
http://www.pontiac.com
Then just click G8 on the left hand side!

I don't know, I'm pretty fond of the G6 GXP Concept vehicle still...
