Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project Progress Thread...
It's pretty much finished but I don't have the time to work on it for a while... I need to wire up my wideband but who knows when that'll be...
I pretty much have reached a point in my life where I really don't care anymore either... I don't know if I'll keep it after I have it on the streets... I might just sell it after all... Who knows right now...

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project Progress Thread...
Update anyone?
With the healthy 60+ hours a week I've been pumping out, I haven't had time to touch it since I started this new job. The sad part is that winter is almost here and I won't be able to drive it very much before it starts snowing. The plus side? I have lots of money now to buy another F-body too. Hehe... Gimme some time here. I actually have a 3 day weekend coming up and I am gonna try to work on it as long as I have all my other stuff caught up around here. Just thought I'd let ya'll know I'm not dead yet. I still try to hit this place up every other day at least. Maybe once we get some more techs hired then I can cut back on my hours and actually be around here more again.

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project Progress Thread...
3 day weekend is here and so am I. I just spent the entire day and night working on the Talon and got a ton done. Tomorrow all I have to do is wire my o2 simulator to my ecu from my zetronics wideband and fix my axle. Oh yeah, and buy stickers for my plates... Tomorrow will be start up and tune day... So long as nothing goes wrong...
***EDIT*** Pics will follow when I get home on Monday or Tuesday. Right now I'm just posting from my new itouch. These things are sweet!

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project Progress Thread...
I... hate... cheap ass Japanese steel!!!!!!!!
I went to bleed my brakes and every damn bleeder valve broke off. So I removed all my calipers to get new ones and wouldn't ya know, a damn bolt breaks off in the driver side caliper mount. Went to autozone and they had the rear calipers in stock but not the front. WTF?!?!?! Long story short, you can't spell disappointment without dsm... Tuesday my calipers will be in and then I can drive it. So long as I can find a damn mount at a junkyard Monday. Autozone couldn't even get me the mounts for it. What a bunch of shit...

Re: Blackcrow64's Talon TSi AWD Project Progress Thread...
Ok, so here is what's goin down... Had a few leak issues today. Have a slight oil leak from the turbo return line. Of course... Go figure... Actually the line isn't leaking, the oil pan was originally cracked pretty bad there and we repaired it and thought it was good. Looks like we were wrong... It had maybe 3 or 4 drips overnight so I'm not worried about it at this point. If it gets worse then I'll have to do something about it. Then we had a major leak that I didn't realize for a few minutes. Had the radio in the shop up far too loud to hear it all going right out the coolant line and onto the floor. Good one Brian... Turned out to be a bad O ring in the water pipe to the water pump. Took all that apart again and found the O ring had tore when I was putting it all back together. Fortunately I had an extra O ring of the same size as an extra. Replaced it and put it all back together and the leak was all good. Did some trimming on my bumper to my front mount to have it all fit nicely and it's ready to be mounted. I'm trying to find a better way to mount the bumper to the fenders though than just two bolts. Anybody have any ideas?
Just so you know, I did NOT start it yet as I was having so many problems with shit that I got pissed and called off the start up for the day. I am making sure I work out all the problem bugs before I start it and attempt to drive it... I had my calipers on their way and I should have them by Tuesday at 3pm and then I can get them put on. All except the damn driver side one where the slide bolt broke off in the bracket. I need to do some searching online tonight to see if I can find a bracket anywhere and if not then a junkyard tomorrow. OH and then I had my freakin clutch line leaking when I went to bleed it. My brother had this awesome one person brake bleeder that uses the air hose and it made it nice. Too bad while I'm under the car I can't see what's going on up top. Had the line right behind the clutch reservoir spraying out where it wasn't tight enough. That was quite the nice little mess... So... Here is what's left to startup... Find a brake bracket for the front drivers side, put my front calipers on when they get here. Run a wire to the front o2 input on my ECU from my simulator... Who's excited? This guy... Just in time for... winter...
