Here are the rest of the images he shared with the TR and another special treat too:

Re: McLaren GTR #019R For sale at Symbolic motors.

I saw that car late last year (second time at Symbolic) and to be quite honest, I was a little underwhelmed seeing it again. A decade ago, I thought the longtail was the coolest looking version of the F1, not anymore. Part of the reason the F1 looks so damn good is because of its small size. The longtail just looks ungainly. A big car like the Enzo looks much better to me.

I thought I was going to act like a giddy school girl seeing this Macca, but instead, it was a really big "meh". Standard road car for me; surprisingly much more awe inspiring in the flesh despite being less in-your-face.

Many people which I have chated, think exactly what you told.

For me a quite same thing, the 1995-1996 GTR is the one and only an orginal GTR for me. Simply and clean. Nothing unnecessary.

BUT the Longtail is a huge "show" about how great car that was on the track. Even at very tricky, bumpy and slow Helsinki "city track", the car was vey big there, but extremely fast. Longtail GTR was also very difficult to beat, even that Mercedes had their "first race desinged and then made road car" CLK; and this Longtail still based on the an orginal 1995-1996 GTR or should I say that stannard F1 roadcar, which defenitely did not at the first in the beginng desinged to be a racer. And still this Longtail GTR could beat Mercedes.

Yep, the huge aerodynamic pagace makes it look very incredible, whit those longtail desing and the front end of the car. Huge tail wing also explanes the new aerodynamic desing, but it was have to be done, to gain the Mercedes. And same time McLaren did a motorsport history.

The Longtal GTR might be not so "clean" looking car but it's one of the greatest racers to me, even that I love the an orinal 95-96 GTR's more than words can describe.

Which road car have you seen?

I have never liked the 'covers' on the headlights on #19R, they don't look right. The rest is kinda cool in a race car kind of way, but the earlier short tail GTR's are better to my eye.

When?

I can't find any record of it.

The only Longtail that ever ran the LARK livery was 27R at Le Mans in 97 (or at least everything I've read suggests this).

Re: McLaren GTR #019R For sale at Symbolic motors.

During the 1997 FIA GT Championship - Suzuka 1000km with drivers Masanori Sekiya, Akihiko Nakaya, and Keiichi Tsuchiya where it finished in 9th place.

This is kind of a crappy image, but here you can see it competing in the event and being chased by GTR #27R which was the only other GTR to wear the LARK livery.

I don't know the serial numbers like you guys, but a red one was at Symbolic a few years back, I don't remember the exact year. It wasn't in their showroom but at the service center in the Sorrento Valley part of San Diego. I don't remember seeing it listed for sale on their website either. It looked real nice, except for the color. It was a gross shade of red, not a rich Ferrari or BMW Imola Red, and not burgundy either. It was kind of bright in an almost pastel kind of way? Hard to describe the shade. It's been awhile but I think it also had the smaller HID headlights, not the original units.

That's the one and only time I've ever seen the original, real deal car. I missed seeing the dark blue one at the original Crystal Cove meeting spot a few years ago, and that was a big bummer.
