Re: Who says you need a truck to tow a car?

Why do you think I'm using my hatch to pull the cars? Just got through using it to pull home the new hatch today.

Re: Who says you need a truck to tow a car?

Note to self: Check timing on used engines BEFORE you install them.

Thank you Jer and Ami for putting up with my questions, Ill still need the answers I got.

Apparently the other B18A1 I just dropped in has a bent/broken valve at the least, can't get the thing to fire up and checked the timing several times. The Intake cam is a pain to turn, and it was the one that was out of time, so I'm assuming one of those valves got hit. Got this engine out of a wrecked Integra, was recently rebuilt, just don't know what all went into it. I do know they put a lightweight flywheel on it, which will go on the old motor since it gets to go back in until I get this one rebuilt or something. Going to take the intake manifold off this engine too. The OBD1 manifold does clean everythign up a lot more.

The 10 extra HP from the 92-93 B18A1 came from the cams, correct?

Yep, came from the cams Tony. Same deal with the b18b. You can put the b18b cams in the b20 and have a nice gain too.

Re: Who says you need a truck to tow a car?

Well got it running again with the old engine, just with some new parts. Didn't get a chance to change cams, but want to get these checked first since the distributor was wobbling around with them.

I did get to change the intake manifold, valve cover(I had painted the other one), and the clutch and flywheel. In the process of changing all of it, I found out that the intake manifold on the broken motor wasn't bolted all the way down(all bottom bolts were finger tight), and the bearing in the flywheel was shot, but I replaced it with my old one. Don't know what kind of clutch that is in there, but does seem to bite a lot more, managed to kill it three times trying to get it out of the yard. And now with the lightened flywheel, I have a problem with wheel hop, lol.
