I'm a long time traveller and a bit of an adventurer - unless I have a moral or ethical problem eg eating tuna, an endangered species, cat or a dog then when in Rome etc... or alternatively downright dangerous or stupid eg Japanese blowfish. You can't really experience somewhere until you have an appreciation of the local custom and food (although I haven't walked on hot coals nor gone for body piercing).

Part of wisdom is understanding other folk and to do that you need to know why and where they are coming from...

Travelling in Australia, New Zealand, across the Pacific, South East Asia, North Asia, North America and Europe. A lot of it was backpacking on my own so you tend to meet more folk and try more things...
