I usually don't listen to music while racing, I like to hear the sound of engines revving up etc. I listen to Moonspell, KMFDM, Luxt, Marilyn Manson and The Doors when just driving around.

I agree with Blu Civic on keeping it low. It helps me consentrate a bit more. It takes care of the part of my brain that isn't being used. Which isn't much.

Drivin out the locks in the mercuries?!

Yeah pop-punk was a really bad idea, umm:

From Autumn to Ashes (a friend got me into them)
Deftones (Elite, Headup, Korea, Around the Fur best for racing)
Foo Fighters (favorite band ever)
A Perfect Circle = good
Bionic Jive (after seeing the Transporter, god that movie had so much potential )
Nirvana
Nine Inch Nails
Gravity Kills (dont really like them, but the whole techno mood is really good for driving)
SOAD (as ive stated before)

and thats just a FEW

When I'm just messing around, drifting in parking lots around cones and such, I listen to my J-pop, Techno, and Anime tunes. (I even match shifts with my Initial D soundtrack. Strangely, "Be My Baby" puts me right in the powerband each and everytime.)

When I'm out crusing around, classic rock is on the stereo. No questions asked. I like Rush a lot, plus Boston, Jethro Tull, Yes, Kiss, The Who, The Guess Who, Kansas, The Eagles, and a bunch of others.

When I'm just out ripping up the backroad corners, though, I listen to the sweet music of four cylinders, 7000+RPM. I haven't found any substitute for the howl of an engine, thunk of a shifter, screech of the tires, and the whir of the gears.

Depends on songs, not really a definate band. I like Millencolin, Flogging Molly(the best drinking music ever also), Pennywise, old Unwritten Law, Rage Against the Machine, for straight out cruising I chill to some old school jazz!:smoker2:

Stay away from Happy Hardcore

You don't want to know what Happy Hardcore is, it's really cheezy flamboyant music. Take Trance speed up the BPM and add some chipmunk vocal's and the like, and there it is....*shudders*

As for when i'm cruising, I mainly listen to IntelligentDanceMusic or IDM. I mostly get looks from people, like wtf is that? Other than IDM, I get my share of Downbeat, Drum 'n' Bass (picky on it), and Ambient/Ambient House.

I like a wide range of Electronic Music, but I stay away from most of that club cheese.

Everything under the sun, as long as it's not mainstream pop.

Metallica, Soil(awesome band, DL that sheeot!), Godsmack, Deftones, Creed(first album, completely different sound), Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Doors, Deep Purple, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, George Thorogood, Soulfy, Slipknot, Mudvayne....

That's my rock music... Rap would be House of Pain, Funkdoobist, Cypress Hill, Dilated Peoples, Swollen Members, Lordz of Brooklyn, and Classified.

The rest is all a mix, I listen to whatever, Classical, Jazz, Country, Techno... Whatevers on

Rascalz are okay. Their older stuff was better. I went to europe and bought The Transporter soundtrack. (Euro version) And they got some pretty nice tracks for driving. The artists mainly are DJ Pone, Stanley Clarke and Drixxe. Cool CD, never heard of any of em'. :bandit:
