Yeah, back to the sandbox for me. I gotta go tell my daddy to buy some Bayer stock... I suspect Midol is in high demand right now

Back on topic. Lawn looks like it belongs to a redneck.

You might be a redneck if your swingset has 2 trucks, 2 jet skis, and 2 ATVs parked beside it in the yard.

The VR4 is actually very similar to mine in looks except it has different wheels, active aero spoiler, and a few other minor appearance differences. If you have never seen a clean VR4 then let me show you one of many. Here is a 1999 VR4 with a 1st gen side skirt on it. (yes the wing is the stock wing, and so are the wheels).:

Re: My new Toys...Pics (56K...sorry)

he traded the eclipse for the truck in back to the future II ah ah ah.

but its not a bad trade after all.

twin turbo ya say...

cassies took out the ovious guesses, but that leaves;

audi quattro of some kind, turbo diesal truck of some kind,
lotus esprit, i dont think sabb tt'd a car
unless its aftermarket TT'd, you cant really take a shot at it.

The truck in Back to the Future was a Toyota. Least thats what I always thought. And nice one and that.

But I'm not a twin guy. I'm only getting one turbo.

Yep, it was a black Toyota.

I'm guessing VR4 or Fairlady Z.

Re: My new Toys...Pics (56K...sorry)

My money is on VR4. The 350 was the only reason I asked if it was after market twined, Civ doesn't strike me as a guy to TT an LSx. So I would say, in seriousness, a VR4 or a TTd 350Z.

That is not a clean car in my book

I like the simple look of the SL better and I HATE the chrome wheelage.

Ding ding...good guess.

I'm currently looking for a nice 300ZX TT Fairlady Z. But, just because I'm seeking out a 300ZX doesn't mean I won't jump on a chance to buy a nice TT Supra.

Sorry Cassies, but you named about 5 cars. I wasn't just going to give it away until someone guessed more along the lines.

I figure if a Supra comes along and it has about 50K-80K miles on it, for about $25-30K then I'll go for it. But for now, I'm just in search of the Z. Ever since having a taste of boost, that and my dad always wanted a Z, I've wanted one.

Re: My new Toys...Pics (56K...sorry)

Meh, no biggy. I guessed it right once, thats good enough for me. And you would honestly pay more than 20k for a car with 80k miles that you know has been whuped up on, regardless of how much boost it can take?

I'm just glad that people, in my area at least, are finally starting to wise up to the Supra. We have a good collection of Supras in my area, especially with the very close (as in, its about a fifteen minute drive for me) proxemity to MVP. Some bad ass Supras. But people, again in my area at least, aren't paying those outragously stupid prices for them anymore. One guy not to far is trying to sell an 97 with 40k miles for 45k. Its been up for sale for almost a year now, and he said he has had no interest in it at all. I told him I'd give him 20k for it, and he said no way, that he can get at least 40. Well, don't really see to many people lined up, do we?

Only way I'll ever spend more than 20k on a 10+ year old car is if its a Ferrari, Lambo, 70 Buick GS, or Chevelle with a 454. Elsewise, screw it. Good luck with the 300ZX, heard they can be a bitch to work on. Took the old Shelby Cobra method. Find a really big engine and stick it into a really small car. I like them though. Not as good looking as the FD or Supra, but they kinda have something special there.

Re: My new Toys...Pics (56K...sorry)

Oh sure, I would gladly pay the price for the Supra. Believe me, if I owned a Supra, I wouldn't sell it for anything. I see myself buying and replacing the motor at the end of every road. There's more than just a handful of vehicles out there to spend 20K on even if it's 10 years old. Not just Exotics.

I've heard nothing but good remarks on the reliability and the stoutness (sp?) of the 2JZ. Met a few guys out in Montreal that have owned them, 2 of which said their motors lasted up past 250,000 miles (Don't know how much that was kilometers wise, something like near 400K). With a bit of performance to boot.

Although, like I said, I want something that I won't see some punk teenager cruising around in, and it won't be too common here in my territory. I mean, how often do you see, other than Hulk's kid, driving a Supra while he's still in high school? So, either that or the Z. I just really want something with power, looks, and a good name behind it.

As for problems with the Z, if some of you remember, my old manager back in Utah had one. 450HP and never had a problem. I believe it was a 92 or 93 TT. I loved it. Meh, he sold it, and still keeps in contact with the buyer. Still runs strong. Everyone hears each vehicles share of problems and stories. Most of the time, it's just a local thing with a small amount of people having the problem. And sometimes, it's a real genuine problem.

That didn't stop me from buying the Eclipse. Crankwalk and all that hyped up bullshit didn't pursuade my descision. I went after what I wanted. And I'll do the same again. But, I think if I get the Supra, that would be a car I'll own for life...or unless someone offers me triple what I pay for it.

well, sometimes locally here, you can find a TT'd Z for like 13k or so.
