Re: Beer!

after the first 10 it all tastes the same anyways lol

Im all about bud light as well, but if your on a budget, you cant beat the busch light 30-rack. we did a taste test for the hell of it and 6 or 10 of my buddies couldnt tell the bifference between bud light and busch light (after a beer or 2)

its perfect for pong too, since you go through so much so quickly.
now if you want a weekday beer just to chill out...Lowenbrau (sp) or killians
NOFX...that video made me wanna kill myself
david-b...you work for AB?! you gotta hook me up man, ...how bout a t-shirt or some coupons? lol

Re: Beer!

This is a topic that should be revived occassionally. Tastes in beer tend to change over time. I started my beer drinking with a cheap crappy beer called Pabst Blue Ribbon. That was the beer of choice when driving across the state line to get beer in Ohio back in the day when you could drink @ 18 years of age in the Buckeye State. I also was an avid consumer of Bud and later Michelob. There were much fewer choices back then than there are today. The beer connoisseur was much more limited. To think that one would be satisfied with the likes of Bud Lite or Busch Lite boggles the mind. Light beers just don't cut it for me. I don't mind an occassional Corona or Coors, but for me it is the wheat beer flavor that I like. I really like Blue Moon, and a Michelob product called Shock Top. My favorite at this time is Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat. Sounds awful but it is one you really should try.

Wow very old thread lol.
Shocktop is an awesome beer. It's finally being labeled under the Michelob Family, along with all other AB seasonals. Shocktop started off as a summer seasonal, but the high response from it made them change it to full-time product. I can't stand PBR. Wheat flavored are generally my favorite also. Try a Goose Island 312 if you can find it by you. Unfiltered wheat ale (close to Shocktop) that is very full flavored and has the Goose Island 'signature taste' to it.

Ahh beer... how do I love thee. Let me count the ways...

Re: Beer!

When this thread came about I couldnt really stomach beer I dont think, now I have "acquired the taste." I used to like Grain Belt, but lately I dont really like it. I still enjoyed the hell out of the Landshark that Dave sent home with me this summer. Oddly enough, Keystone is my favorite cheap beer. I like most Summit Beers too, especially Winter Ale and with the exception of EPA. I also had a Guinness a couple weeks back, and I really liked it, though its something I'd probably have to be in the mood for.

EDIT: No offense to Dave, but I really dont like most Bud products... namely just the shit with their name on it. I've had and will stomach Budweiser, Bud Light, or Bud Select, but I'd never actually buy it. On the other hand, when I dont want the $12.50/case Keystone I usually get Coors or Coors Light. Also not a beer, but I've taken a real liking to Strong Bow, but I have to be in the mood.

Re: Beer!

i had shocktop for the first time a month ago. not bad. I call it Jockstrap because i couldn't remember the name of it one night.

we have a local brewery in my town and they make some of the best beer ever. I poured a bottle of bud light into a glass the other night and took one drink and dumped the rest down the drain. i can't drink the piss water as I like the hoppier and more interesting type of beers.

Re: Beer!

No light beers for me. Yuengling, Key West Sunset Ale, Bud American Ale, and Bass are my favs right now. I tried Arrogant Bastard, which was pretty good. Very strong though. Hazed and Confused is also pretty good.

I knew it was an old thread when I saw that it was started by EDMUND.

I'm still a Bud Light fan and love to do Jager Bombs

Re: Beer!

Landshark FTW! Oh it's coming out on draft I believe this month.

Bud Light I drink when there's nothing else, or I just want something, well, light. I won't touch Miller products (obviously) so that's usually what's 'good' around at smaller places. However I've been drinking more Budweiser which I didn't like too much say a year ago.

Bud American Ale is a good choice. I'm going to Hawaii because of BAA.

Not a big Summit fan. I've gotten a nice fleece coat from them couple months back lol.

I bought a case of arrogant bastard and it's probably one of my favs. I still have one a bomber left from it at my old house.

Re: Beer!

I live in fort collins CO where theres 12 different places that brew beer so i have a lot of options. But for cheap I love rolling rock, its a cut above all the buds and coors and millers and isnt a whole lot more expensive. as for the really cheap stuff i wont drink bud either, a lot of miller high life finds its way into our kegerrator

Bud light is what I drink most of the time. Usually get a 6 pack of Sam Adams light also. Thats some good stuff.

Mmmm Miller Light, how I love thee...

But I'm not picky. Beer is beer as long as I get the same result from it all.
