Why not? you could just sell the XJ220 and buy a GT3... simple logic

250k with no miles, but oyu can pick one up for 120k with, even if it is kept in storage. look at this one www.jaguarxj220.co.uk

I dont know why but the XJ220 never appealed to me... something in the design puts me off, though im not quite sure what... its too bulky though, thats for sure, and the alloys arent great either... fast around the 'ring, though, one of few sub 8min cars!

I dont "know" the 'ring... I idolise it

13 mins isnt bad at all... the circuit is insane!
My ideal car around it would be a 964RS or 996GT3, i think they would suit the circuit very well, and would be very challenging cars to drive on the most challenging circuit in the world... maybe one day....

Silverstone doesn't hold a candle to the ring. It was made under Hitler's rule to provide employment for the locals. As such, is was made in extreme terrain and relatively randomly, to make the work last longer and provide more employment. I believe it is about 13.7miles, and has over 100 corners. Many people have died there, it is such a fast, challenging track.

Someday, I will give it a go, till then, its watching vintage videos of Fangio and Moss ripping it up
